About this listen

Abducted to 1763, Peter Schock and Kate Dyer begin to understand that history has reached a tipping point. The antigravity machine is in the hands of the cruel and ambitious Lord Luxon - who has set his sights on the most valuable prize of all: America. He is determined to manipulate time to his advantage, no matter what the cost.

And the cost is great indeed. As Lord Luxon changes more and more of the past for his own gain, terrible time quakes begin to sweep through all of history. Kate Dyer, adrift in time and suffering from an overexposure to time travel, knows that if Lord Luxon is not stopped, the time quakes will tear the universe apart.

Meanwhile Gideon and Peter hunt for their enemy, the Tar Man, in the dark streets of eighteenth-century London, and Peter begins to realize that he may hold the fate of the world in his hands.

The stunning conclusion to the critically acclaimed Gideon trilogy finally reveals the fates of Peter, Kate, Gideon, and the universe itself.

This long-awaited book lives up to the promise of The Time Travelers and The Time Thief, delivering a rousing historical adventure that will have readers of all ages on the edge of their seats.

The whole series is an amazing listen.

It's adventurous, action packed, keep you on the edge of your seat, and crazy good. The narrator does a superb job with each character. Loved it!

Great ending to a great trilogy!

This was a new twist on time travel stories. It mixes historical fiction with time travel - a winning combination!

Not as grim as Book 1 and Book 2

Per my reviews for the first 2 books in this series I find this series a bit too grim for children. This 3rd part is not as gruesome but has several wonderful characters killed. For readers that found the death of Dumbledore in Harry Potter as disturbing as I did, this book has similar situations. This 3rd book contains the result of the time traveling in the series causing "Time Quakes" in which the world is being ripped apart. The narrator for the series is excellent. The historical details regarding Washington crossing the Delaware are well handled and add an interesting twist to the storyline. One discrepancy I found annoying was that one of the bad guys is able to jump back and forth between London and NY without any explanation. This major plot problem caused my rating to drop from 3 to 2 stars.

Read to finish series

The last book was too predictable week plot and the resolution of the book made the series pointless. Having no impact on life except to bring everything back to the beginning of the series... Disappointing felt like the an episode of outer limits to warn us about the dangers of man's greed via time traveling.

Bad

I really was looking forward to this book, but the author just lost their puff. The pacing was off and the characters had just lost something.

Time travel stories are tough the author tried to do to hard and fell flat.

My son and I enjoy all types of books and he will listen to the end of books I give up on. I told him not to bother.
