About this listen

Prophecy spoken.

Alliances broken.

Will duty come before love?

The Viking's Captive is the exciting sequel to The Viking's Chosen by USA Today best seller Quinn Loftis.

Torben is faced with a terrible choice: rescue the woman he loves from the clutches of a madman or save his people from attack by a ruthless foreign invader. He longs to save Allete, especially since the clan's oracle has prophesized that she will become his queen and help unite the clans. But if saving the princess means abandoning his clan, the choice would be unconscionable. Torben races across land and sea on a collision course with Magnus, Allete's kidnapper and Torben's former king. Their meeting will change the fate of Clan Hakon - either saving it from destruction or splintering it forever.

Will Torben be able to rescue Allete before Magnus' actions ruin them all? Or will Cathal find the princesses first, enslaving them and using them for his own twisted purposes? Swords will clash and arrows will fly before the fate of Allete and Torben is finally decided.

Danah, Danah, and more Danah. There is so much in this series to love but if you can only fall in love with 1 character make it her.

Ready for 3

The narrators chosen for this book are some of the best I've heard. Great listen!

Couldn't stop listening!

I really enjoyed the new characters in this story and can't wait to see the witch dead. It was nice to hear of the love story.

I have to admit that I prefer stories and characters with historical accuracy. With that being said I did enjoy the story line. The narrators do a decent job helping you to capture the essence. However, I do feel like there are areas of improvement in the writing itself.

Good story, likable characters

I thought the first book in this series was a slow start, but then the second book is new dragging on. The narrator had a country twain and the male and female (main characters) could neither make sound choices. I could not finish.

Hated it.

I found it harder to get through this book than the first one, I kept spacing out and not paying attention. Seemed like it dragged a lot in areas. First book was much better.
