About this listen

The forest remembers. And now, it whispers back.

Seventeen-year-old Elara has always felt connected to the Whispering Wood, where silence holds secrets and trees speak in shivers. But when a mysterious voice calls her name, she is thrust into an ancient legacy of forgotten Keepers, vengeful roots, and a forest on the brink of erasure.

Guided by visions, strange allies—a sarcastic talking fox, a haunted dryad, and a disgraced ranger—and her own deepening bond with the woods, Elara must uncover the truth behind a betrayal buried in time. As the line between memory and magic blurs, she faces a choice: become the vessel for a corrupted past, or fight to restore the forest’s soul.

Lyrical, atmospheric, and emotionally powerful, The Whispering Wood is a coming-of-age fantasy about listening when no one else does, and standing against the forces that would silence what matters most.

I’ll agree with the summary as far as the whispery, atmospheric narration, however I was starved for development of characters, magic, and the forest. Instead it was a lot of talking and thinking about morality and respect for life.
