About this listen

Why would a collector of ancient American artifacts hand over his prized pieces to a historian and then shoot himself in the head? And why does an ancient Templar scroll in his possession refer to Jesus as "The Thief on the Cross"?

The answers place historian Cameron Thorne at the dangerous intersection of secret American history and modern geopolitical intrigue. Following clues contained in ancient American artifacts and medieval European masterpieces, Cameron and his fiancee, Amanda Spencer, race to uncover the true secrets of early Christianity before a splinter group of religious zealots can silence them forever.

Good Story

Mr Brody has written the best series on this subject I have ever seen. The inclusion of Mr Wolters research is also admirable.
My husband took me, the year before his death, to the Newport Tower and to the various spots except Norman's, of course
I have been researching the American travels of the Knights Templars for years. This starting with Kentucky in 1959 as a college student because I was born in Morganfield. I found tid bits and the fact that my Grandfather had purchased his farm with the Trail of Tears for a singular purpose. to save it.
He passed and my Uncle immediately had it covered over.
That whetted an appetite of why?
After many years I finally got into the that why. Much of it went back to the Knights Templar.
I lived in Alden, Mich and heard tales about portages, copper Islands my husband's Father had worked, Mancelona and tales about rocks. Rocks my in laws ashes are on.
Alden means Old One.
Next was Minnesota with the Kennsington Stone on down to Shawneetown.
Then they found runes in Oklahoma 3 hours from my own area I live and in Arizona a possible Templar grave.
I seem to be living places where Templars have been. Again why?
So I formed ideas and put a book into motion after taking more writing classes and Mr Brody formed books. wonderful books.
I love reading your books and as I read I think and.....
Great research. Just great writing.

Absolutely captivating plus this really keeps you engaged, really makes the reader pay attention and wonder if this is Fiction or non fiction... I mean, How do we know what part of History is really true and how much is... What If? It's DEFINITELY a must read!!!

Riveting

Nice fiction tied to some historical artifacts but the story line tied to the Mormons and references to Joseph Smith are far from factual and if referenced are from poor references of rumor and inuendo And since a major part of the story intertwined around a descendant of the “Mormon” leadership then the entire premise is worse than fiction but a shallow wives tale lacking the substance of even over the back fence neighborhood gossip. Too bad the first volume was enjoyable and even insightful.

Nice fiction ties to some historical artifacts But…

I have just started this series of audio books and for me I am completely fascinated with the stories of the 2 main protagonist and the amount of research that must have been done to include so many authentic objects and text.

Authentic
