My best friend’s older brother that was completely off-limits.

It wouldn’t be such a problem to avoid Jack (and the butterflies he causes to swarm in my belly), except that he was constantly in my space. Or maybe I was in his? It was hard to tell since I was now working for his family.

So much emotion! From lost loved ones, to new families, best friends brother turned lover stories are abundant. None of them hit you right in the feels like this one. There are a gamut of emotions, all of them, happy, sad, love, haste, lonley.. all of them. There are plot twists and emotions everywhere. Checks all of the marks, like her books do. Can't wait for the next one!

Third Time's the Charm is book #3 in the Beaumont Creek series. I'm in love with this series!❤️ Jack Capshaw is the local sexy firefighter and confirmed bachelor. Kensy is his sister's long time best friend who has moved back to town and is now a woman, not the girl he remembers. The chemistry between these two is off the charts from the start. There is no angst, no weak characters, just normal issues that couples go through when a relationship is starting. Yes, they had some substantial obstacles, but they worked together to find their HEA. Their story is funny (🔦), heartfelt, spicy 🌶, and probably my favorite so far. And poor Jones...I can't wait to hear his story!

The narration was good. Ms. Heflin has narrated other stories for this author. I did think at times that she might have been battling a cold, but otherwise she did a good job with all the character voices.

Third Times The Charm is book 3 in the series. Those of us to have read the rest of the series were thrilled to see Capshaw was the MMC and not just because he is a hot firefighter! He ends up falling for his sisters best friend. They were both warned to stay away but who is gonna listen when the chemistry is that strong!?! Samantha gives us plenty to love in this book! Forced proximity, age gap, lots of food fun, and several surprises that will blow everything up! Don't miss this awesome book!

OMG this book made me go through every single emotion! Kensy just moved back to town after the death of her father. She’s trying to get her life back on track and the last thing she needs is a boyfriend. Her best friend Lia gets her a job at the family restaurant.

Jack is a firefighter. He took leave from the station because his family needed help running the family restaurant. The family restaurant also needs more help, so younger sister Lia says her best friend needs a job, in walks Kensy.

Can these two make it through the twists life throws at them?

Kensey suddenly finds Jack Capshaw, her bestie's older brother, all up in her space and she can't stop thinking about it. It might have something to do with her working for his family's restaurant, or being suddenly moved into his spare room after sometime breaks into her place. But they are both adults about it, right?

I am so happy one of my favorite books finally made it to audio!!! When I first met Capshaw (Jack) back in book one, I immediately needed to learn more about him, how his mind works, and what makes him tick. This book did not disappoint at all. If you read one book by Samantha Baca, this one is it! We meet Capshaw's family who we haven't seen before, so we see what he's really like away from his firefighting buddies. Capshaw's sister's best friend Kensy moved away years ago, but she's back in town and he doesn't want to admit he has it bad for her. Once Kensy *temporarily* moves in with him, nothing's off limits. Once this fire starts, it doesn't stop.

Mel Heflin is a great narrator and I'm glad to see more of her work with Samantha!

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love a best friend's brother with an age gap, lots of laughter, and firefighters.

Third Time's The Charm is such a perfect love story for Chapshaw. I have been rooting for him since book one and the poor guy just cannot seem to catch a break! It all makes sense now with the introduction of Kensy. She keeps him on his toes while being the perfect support. This book has all the spice and all the nice. I did not LOVE the narration as there was some struggle switching between the male and female characters. However, the story itself is solid and swoonworthy!

This is a spicy best friend's romance with a slight twist. Jack is a protective alpha type, and Mckenzie is his litle sister's best friend. She moved back to town after her father's untimely death and needs a job and safe place to stay. Jack is helping out at the family business while his father recovers from surgery. When they see each other again, Sparks fly... What I like most about this book is there is no 3rd act break up. The spice is detailed and prevelant for a book this length. Despite only having 1 narrator, the book isn't confusing; you can figure out who is speaking
