Because Paris is always a good idea...

Years ago, Juliet left a little piece of her heart in Paris - and now, separated from her husband and with her children flying the nest, it's time to get it back!

So she puts on her best red lipstick, books a cosy attic apartment near Notre-Dame and takes the next train out of London.

Arriving at the Gare du Nord, the memories come flooding back: bustling street cafés, cheap wine in candlelit bars and a handsome boy with glittering eyes.

But Juliet has also been keeping a secret for over two decades - and she begins to realise it's impossible to move forwards without first looking back.

Something tells her that the next thirty days might just change everything...

Want to know what happened

Not totally captivating but plausible. At times a bit too romantic for my taste. Friendship is valuable and well reflected in this novel. Also, living with someone for a long time shapes you. Divorces don’t need to be hateful for sure!

awful main character, bad story

Juliet, the main character, is so annoying. she's full of victimhood mentality and self loathing, when in actuality she was very unprofessional as a nanny and tries to blame others for her poor choices then stays angry because her employer doesn't want her in their home anymore. She is fixated on a short lived fling that happened 30 years ago which is not only pathetic and childish but very unrealistic.
