the story was very sweet and uplifting without too many stereotypes. if you are looking for an easy listen, this is perfect.

All they did was talk about how they couldn't love each other and then it just ended abruptly and they were married.

I was not a real big fan of this book. It just keeps rehashing over and over and over about love and not being able to.

Based on the author's other works, I hoped for a sweet, romantic story that I could play in the background while busy working around the house. The characters are instantly attracted to one another but have sworn off new relationships. They resist each other but can't help having steamy thoughts of the other. So you know there's going to be love/sex scenes but they did not have to be graphic. I guess some readers like that but it's so out of place with the rest of the book. For those considering the book, just know that's a part of what you will hear.

This story is several decades old. The story is dated. The performance was flat and boring. The female did not seem to have any ambition. You are not going to make a success with a marketing firm in a small town with limited job opportunities. The person described in this book would be the type that never works at something that takes a lot of effort.
