Critic reviews

"Dishy dirt abounds in Collins' latest glitzy Hollywood soap - a made-for-TV melange of treachery, tragedy and suspense complete with flashbacks and fade-outs. Collins also litters the narrative with names of real-life stars and drops tasty tidbits about unnamed celebs. Collins piles on the glamorous scandals, deceit and raunchy sex that her fans expect - and a couple of spicy secrets surprise at the end. Diehard fans will eat it up." ( Publishers Weekly)

Awesome book!

This was the best Jackie Collins book I have listened to. It was interesting from the beginning to the end and the mystery character had me guessing until he was revealed in the end. Lots of interesting twists and turns. One of those books where I wish it wasn't over because I enjoyed it so much.

Not Bad

I liked this book. But it probably was a better listen in the 90's. I've recently discovered Jackie Collins after reading Chance and Lucky almost a year ago. It's good writing for this time and I'll continue to read and/or listen to her books.

I really enjoyed this!

I feel like more time should have been spent untangling things at the end but it was still a good book.

Not bad if you like over the top books

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

As an easy read

Would you ever listen to anything by Jackie Collins again?

Probably not.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

No, the narrator was good

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

not really

Any additional comments?

I loved JC's book back when she wrote Hollywood Husbands. She started the whole trend of voyeurism for Hollywood celebrities. Now with every TV show giving viewers a dose of "reality" JC's books have lost their appeal and the story lines are no longer shocking or leave you in a state of disbelief. Honestly, they are tame compared to reality shows like ROWOT-fill-in-the-blank; hip-hop-nobodies; bad-girls-but actually immature; divas-but not really, etc.

just ok

Typical Jackie Collins book, it has been my experience if I've read one I've pretty much read them all. She does make me grateful though that if the characters in her books are any thing like the people in show business I'm glad I'm not in that world.

IF YOU LIKE Jackie you will probably like this!

I consider this one of my dumb reads! Something mindless to pass time - I do enjoy reading and listening to books and sometimes I want something mindless so I can cross-stitch or sew while listening. This is one of those books!
An okay narrator but definitely better than when Jackie decides to read herself!
If you like Jackie then you will probably like the book and like I said - it is a mindless book so you can do other things while listening!
Enjoy!

Not the same calibre as other Jackie Collins

I have read a few of Jackie Collins' books and this once comes no where near them in terms of the plot general story. I think that the title is a misnomer as there was nothing particularly "thrilling" about this book
