About this listen

National best-selling author Barb Hendee returns to the world of the Mist-Torn witches as two sisters who can see the secrets of the past and the mysteries of the future begin a quest to save the family they never knew existed....

Powerful Prince Malcolm is facing ruin in the wake of a curse that has destroyed his harvest. He blames the band of nomadic Móndyalítko who summer in the meadow below his castle - and he is determined to root out the people who caused the blight by any means necessary.

When Céline and Amelie Fawe, descended from the Móndyalítko, learn that their mother's people are under suspicion of sabotage and treason, they set out to use their magical gifts to save their estranged relatives and learn about their own origins. Now it's up to the sisters - along with their motley escorts, including a prince's lieutenant, a shape-shifter, and an old woman with a murky past - to discover the source of the curse, restore life to the ravaged land, and protect the innocent from unfair vengeance.

VERY GOOD PLOT. WELL WRITTEN AND WELL PERFORMED.

Again Barb Hendee had another winner. The plot was intriguing with lots of action. Emily Beresford narrated very well and the voices were distinguishable. I hope there will more on Prince Anton and Celine in the next book.

More adventures with the Mist-torn Witches

A curse has devastated the land and it is up to sisters Celebrate and Amiele to figure it out. This adventure takes them to confront the family they didn't know they had and uncover the price of all magic. Another great tale from Barb Hendee's world! it was just way too short! I never wanted it to end.

Short but enjoyable.

I really liked this book. The characters are as likeable as ever and you get more back story on Helga this time around. My only criticism is that this novel follows the exact same story pattern as the previous 2 books. The sisters basically just read people until they figure out who "did it." Also despite knowing there's a dangerous man around, Celine manages to wander off by herself, get cornered and attacked it each novel. But I do like how the sisters' powers are used as a mechanism to tell the stories of other character.
