About this listen

The Seeker has grown up in a world where deliberate physical contact is a crime, and for most of her life it hasn't bothered her. But when some of her classmates are arrested for touching, she decides to try the most forbidden of things and touch another person. When she discovers the power of touching and how it changes her and those around her, will the Seeker be content to return to a life without it?

Evocative And Intriguing

What did you love best about Touch?

I think what I enjoyed most about the product as a whole was the world it established. It felt very much in that 'Repent, Harlequin! Said The Ticktockman' sort of vein and I loved that.

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked best about this story was the movement of the characters through it. As a narrative piece it's so lyrical and the crux of it being physical contact treated as such a euphoric thing when one is deprived of it, it really makes one think about how much we take it for granted.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Evan Harris?

Not especially. The audio quality was sub-par and the reading not particularly interesting. But when it hits, it hits well, and it does pick up over time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It continued to build and build into a magnificent story that I would love to see performed on stage. Sign me up for tickets immediately!

Intriguing!

Loved the premise. I thought the characters were believable, the background interesting, and I'd love for there to be a sequel.
