About this listen

What do former president Bill Clinton, astronaut Edgar Mitchell, actor Christopher Reeve, and singer Elvis Presley all have in common? They all share a connection to the most celebrated UFO event in history - the Roswell Incident of 1947. Best-selling authors Donald Schmitt and Thomas Carey (Witness to Roswell) take us from Tinseltown to Washington DC as they provide us with a who's who of notables, who are connected to the event and the town made famous by tourists who visited of an extraterrestrial kind.

You will truly be amazed at the number of earth-bound celebrities, who have only added to the popularity of Roswell and like millions of others, visited the town where they say visitors from another planet crashed almost 75 years ago. You, too, will be touched by Roswell by so many of the heart-warming and amusing stories presented in this tome. You, too, will experience why Roswell continues to remain a beacon for all of those who continue to peer at the stars and wonder.

Touched by Roswell

This was an interesting compendium of stories of public figures and celebrities who had contact with Roswell. It was not an advocacy piece. More of a neutral exposition on how these individuals were impacted with and by connections with Roswell. It was an interesting source of new information and easily digestible in the audio format. This was good for me as many books simply don’t work for me on audible. The short form chapters countered that naturally.

Deep gems hidden within requiring deeper thought.

At first when I listened I thought to myself “these are celebrities that are interested in the Roswell incident.” Didn’t strike me as compelling.
But then it struck me. These are the people that others will open up to more because of their status. And with that happening more gets revealed.
If you are looking for the Roswell story this is not the book, but if you are looking for further research into the story and its aftermath. This is a good starting point.

Disappointed. Potential died soon as it started

This was a disastrous purchase. I was expecting more as to how each were linked to roswell with a full story. Instead, spend alot of time on movie credits or political contacts. So little is spent on UFOs that I felt somehow I missed it only to rewind, yup. nothing. Don't waste credits. Poor. ugh.
