Publisher's summary

Virtual reality is the technology of the future, and Mark Fairfax’s brother Richard runs the leading company in the field worldwide. He has also been murdered. Mark is a City trader: sharp, young, ambitious. He is left to pick up the pieces at his brother’s company in Scotland’s 'Silicon Glen'. Struggling to keep the business in the black, and with corporate predators closing in, Mark must learn fast and trust no one. With his brother’s killer on the loose, bankruptcy may prove to be the least of his problems.

Loved the Story, Narration Irritated Me

I've previously read the book "Free To Trade" and really enjoyed it, so I decided to listen to another novel by Ridpath.

The story develops well and Ridpath does a great job of developing the charecters and making them all suspicious, providing motive for almost all of them. The story. Moves along at a nice pace, and I found myself spell bound by his story telling.

However, I found the narration poorly acted, and in my opinion, failed to really provide the emotion I woukd have found if I was actually reading it to myself. Eventually, I found it a little irritating after a while.

That being said, it would not deter me from listening to another of Michael Ridpath. He is an author I'm really pleased I discovered.
