Narrator is icing on perfect cake

Wife and I love to travel together to the past listening to these highly entertaining stories. Nice to pick up a little history along the way. Its amazing how Rodney Turner can shift his mellow baritone voice a little and you see a little girl, or a grown woman or a young boy. If you want to travel and actually be there, listen to this series. Tired of hectic, complicated modern rat race? Listen.

Fun western

Great narrator telling a steady paced clean cut story! I love this kind of story with action and heart. Little life lessons woven into the story on life, preparation, hard work, family, friendship and love.

Good western

Love to listen to J. Rodney Turner. I think I could listen to him read the telephone book. This was a very good story though.

Best Series in the Plus Catalog

This book developed Charles’ character as well as Harlan’s. Great cowboy series. I hope to find more in the Plus Catalog in the future like this.
