Publisher's summary

Three chilling supernatural thriller novels from author Carl Alves

The Invocation

A séance gone wrong. A demonic crook unleashed. Who can stop the callous carnage?

Ten-year-old Kenna Trigg thought playing with a Ouija board would be harmless fun. So when she and her friends connect with a dead girl’s energy, they vow to help the teen’s disturbed spirit rest in peace. But Kenna’s curiosity transforms to terror when she accidentally unleashes a malevolent specter out for blood in this supernatural tale of horror.

With the malicious entity able to possess others and jump from body to body, Kenna struggles to stop his relentless crime spree. Desperate for help, she turns to her recently paroled older brother, hoping her brain and his professionally bloodied fists can bring an end to the ruthless fiend’s rampage.

Can Kenna and her brother defeat an insidious evil before it kills them all?

The Invocation is a gripping standalone supernatural thriller fiction novel. If you like dark action fantasy, mixed martial arts combat scenes, and page-turning suspense, then you’ll love Carl Alves’ intense tale.

Battle of the Soul

#1 Amazon Bestseller
Andy Lorenzo has no family, few friends, poor social skills, and drinks and gambles far too much. But in a time when demons are becoming increasingly more brazen and powerful, he has one skill that makes demons cower in fear from him — he is the greatest exorcist the world has ever known.

In Battle of the Soul, a supernatural thriller that is a combination of Constantine and The Exorcist mixing psychological horror and fantasy adventure, since graduating high school Andy has left a long trail of demons in his wake while priests are getting killed trying to perform traditional rites of exorcism. Andy is the Church and society’s ultimate weapon in combating this growing epidemic. He needs no bibles, prayers or rituals. Andy is capable of going inside the person’s soul where he engages in hand-to-hand combat using his super-human abilities that only reside when he is in a person’s soul.

When eight-year-old Kate becomes possessed, Andy finds an elaborate trap waiting for him. He will do whatever it takes to win the most important fight of his life — the battle for Kate’s soul.

Conjesero

San Francisco homicide detective Kevin Russell has arrested serial rapists, murderers, and more sadistic thugs than he could remember. Nothing he has ever accomplished can prepare him for Conjesero, a supernatural serial killer who has been terrorizing the Americas for centuries.

In this supernatural thriller, Conjesero—a creature with extraordinary intelligence and a vicious nature that has created a trail of bodies from Mexico to San Francisco—has always made law enforcement cower in fear and pretend that he doesn't exist. This suspense novel takes the reader through many twists and turns as Kevin investigates the mystery behind the murders plaguing his city. Only Kevin is willing to stand in its path. His desperation takes him on a journey inside the killer’s twisted world. There is nothing that he is unwilling to do, even if it means making a deal with the devil, to stop Conjesero or die trying.

Conjesero explores the realms of the supernatural filled with elements of mystery and suspense.

More stars with better AI Voice Overs

The stories were decent enough. I believe they would have been better if the voiceover wasn’t so virtually hindered. It’s mainly when it counts. Like with emotions and action.

I liked the stories overall, but too much of a happy ever after for 5 stars. These are definitely good always wins and bad loses stories.

Great stories, okay narrative

Loved the books a lot. You can definitely tell it’s a computer generated narrator but it wasn’t bad! I would recommend!
