About this listen

A nail-biting psychological thriller with one of the biggest twists you'll hear this year.

After choir practice for midnight mass, college sophomore Rose Grandon takes a shortcut through Harbor Park. Grabbed from behind, she is violently assaulted, beaten, and left for dead. The last thing she hears is someone singing Silent Night.

Several hours later, the police find Rose lying in a ditch. Badly beaten—but alive. As she recovers in hospital, Rose is told she's pregnant. She has a terrible choice to make. She decides to keep the baby.

Nine months later, she gives birth to a beautiful baby girl. She names her Mary.

Rose lives quietly in her small Connecticut hometown, raising her daughter—the one good thing to come out of her horrible ordeal. She begins to get her old self back.

But her evil attacker has never been caught. He strikes twice a year. Once on Christmas Eve, once on Christmas Day. And until he's behind bars, Rose and her baby can never be safe.

But now he's found out he has a daughter. And that changes everything...

Twice on Christmas is an exhilarating blend of psychological suspense, nail-biting tension, and a shattering final twist. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst, T.M. Logan, Patricia MacDonald, and Shari Lapena.

Ok story. Rose and her parents were annoying. Why demand to get every update then get mad?

This was such a good book!! It kept me interested the entire time. I did guess the ending but I kept thinking maybe it was another person right up until the end.

The story was a slow build and had you guessing the killer the whole time. Ending was a little too predictable. But it was a short read and did keep my interest enough to finish it.

Slow and predictable story line

Starts out strong but quickly falters.

Lame plotline with repetitious text.

Twists were contrived.

I am a fan of author McGarvey Black but this book was a miss for me.

This 9-hour audiobook easily could have been 6 hours.

Narrator Emily Sutton-Smith did a superb job with the narration.

Will not be on my Christmas list!

I started this book with gigh hopes because I had previously liked another one of the author's books however I can't believe people actually like the narrator. I find her to sound like an old school teacher that is so monotone that you fall asleep trying to listen like the Charlie Brown teacher. I attempted to listen to this book about five different times stopping to go to other more interesting books with far better narrators and stories. The story is in no way a Thriller or Mystery. It is more like a long-winded diary where nothing happens. I only keep listening to it because I actually used a Credit to get it, but I finally realized I don't care what happens in this book and after hours of listening to it and 36 chapters I give up. Audible won on this one. I am moving on. There are amazing stories and narators out there and this is not it.

I just didn't like a single thing about this
