About this listen

Gloria Foley turned off the light in the hallway and made her way slowly upstairs to bed. She paused at the doorway of her daughter's bedroom and shook her head. It had been such an emotional day for all of them. She prayed she would have the strength to get them both through these treacherous teenage years.

Slowly turning the knob on the bedroom door, she quietly opened it to check on her sleeping child. Through the narrow opening, she could see the bed was still made, and no one was sleeping on it. She opened the door wider and saw the shadow on the far wall, and her heart clenched. Screaming, she flung the door open and ran to the figure hanging from the thick electric cord suspended from the ceiling fan. "No," she screamed as she tried to lift the inert body up to relieve the pressure against her neck. "Nooooooo!"

The ghost of a teenager who committed suicide 20 years ago is haunting Mary's family's home. Can she link that death to the serial suicides of the girls who had bullied her when she was alive?

And with Gary Copper still on the loose, Mary and Bradley are faced with the challenge of keeping the newest member of their family safe and sound.

First of all I'd like to say I REALLY enjoyed this novel - If someone is sensitive to high school bullying they may want to skip this book but if you can get past it in the story, it really has a good story that keeps you listening.

My most favorite LOL parts are when the innocents of young kids "tell it like it is" but are easily bribed with cookies -

What do you say when caught between two souls arguing over how dead the other is?
You may be better off by staying neutral and solving the mystery that brings them together, and into your life.
A good story with tightly knit plotline and professionally portrayed by the voice actress.
A fun read! I really like the main character, well defined with a past and one that hopes her new future will eventually become calm.

When Dead is only "a little"

Mary is no longer the sharp, careful ex-police officer she had been in the first book. she does stupid things like running off without her phone and keeping things from Bradley that she should obviously tell him immediately. There was only one paranormal mystery in this book which they seemed to forget about frequently, so when they got back to it, the story seemed choppy. I miss the days when it wasn’t just about her relationship and was all about the mysteries. The performance is very difficult to listen to. She has started putting a little “a” in front of words so they sound like “a-thank you,” and not just for Ian. Overall, this was a chore to listen to.
