Publisher's summary

Mary floated across the room, shaking her hands in frustration. Finally, she turned back to Mike.

“When will the men in my life realize that no one is responsible for watching over me?” she asked sadly. “I am a grown woman. I am a former police officer. I am not some hot-house flower that can’t handle my own life and my own safety.”

Victoria sighed loudly and rolled her eyes. “And you did such a good job of it. You were kidnapped and are now in a coma. Yeah, great handling of your life.” Mary turned her head quickly and stared at Victoria. “You were murdered, right?” she asked.

Taken aback for a moment, Victoria nodded slowly. “Yes, why?” “No reason,” Mary shot back. “It's just not a big surprise, that’s all.”

At the end of Darkness Exposed (Book 5), Mary O'Reilly was in a coma. Did you ever wonder where she went while she was in that coma? Of course, she had another adventure.

Wonderful Storyline

This is a great series and this audiobook is no exception. The story moves well, the narrator does a great job (especially with Ian's accent) and the characters are likeable. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Good story

I have always enjoyed books from this series and this one does not disappoint. I did however have an issue with the narrator. She was very good for most of the characters...but Ian, no. I just couldn't get with her Irish brogue attempt. Despite her being very good, I miss the original narrator for this series.

Present meets past to solve the mystery

This is the first Mary O’Reilly I’ve listened too. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more of this series. Mary stays in the coma to help solve a murder.

Jennifer Wren Pickens, once again, does a fantastic job narrating. Her use of her voice increases the listeners enjoyment.

Terri Reid never disappoints!

If you haven't listened to or read to the Mary O'Reilly series, make this series your next 'Must Listen'. Breakaway is a Novella that comes after book 4 I think and tells the story of what is going on while Mary lies in the hospital unconscious.

Terri's stories are so engrossing that coming to the end of any of her books sends me into mourning. This one is no different. The characters are so well developed they become your friends and you just want to know more about them. Every new character that enters her story is so easily envisioned from her descriptions you will have a movie running in your head.

Jennifer Pickens does an excellent job narrating. The pace is just right, and the characters are easily recognized. She has a great voice.

My only negative is that this book came to an end way too soon! I want Terri Reid and Mary O'Reilly to be my neighbours.

A Great Story

The Main Character is Mary O' Riley who was a Police officer until she jumped in front of her brother and took a bullet. After waking up she now has the ability to see Ghosts. This story is about her helping the Rich Daughter of a very wealthy man. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
