Publisher's summary

Will Sedgwick can’t believe that after months of searching for his oldest friend, Martin Easterbrook is found hiding in an attic like a Gothic nightmare. Intent on nursing Martin back to health, Will kindly kidnaps him and takes him to the countryside to recover, well away from the world.

Martin doesn’t much care where he is or even how he got there. He’s much more concerned that the man he’s loved his entire life is currently waiting on him hand and foot, feeding him soup and making him tea. Martin knows he’s a lost cause, one on which he doesn’t want Will to waste his life.

As a lifetime of love transforms into a tender passion both men always desired but neither expected, can they envision a life free from the restrictions of the past, a life with each other?

Sweet Romance

Great combo: Cat Sebastian and Joel Leslie. Historical settings that ring true. This one is more wordy and repetitive than usual.

4.5/5

This book was great! The friends to lovers trope is one of my favorites! I really loved how Joel preformed this book as well.

Beautifully tender!

The third book in the Seducing the Sedgewicks series is the best! We see Martin Easterbrook being a right pain throughout the other brother’s books, and now we learn what was behind his actions. His life-long love for this best friend, Will, was surprising, lovely, and so very tender. Cat Sebastian is very gifted at writing a care-taking scene, and this series is loaded with them. Joel Leslie's portrayal of Martin and Will was breathtaking. This series is not to be missed!

Another Amusing Sedgwick Novel

This was my third Sedgwick novel, and while I enjoyed it, I was left with some lingering questions about a few things and I wish there was more resolution to them. However, the characters were fun and their interactions were amusing enough to keep me listening. It's worth your time to keep getting to know the Sedgwick brothers and the men who've stolen their hearts.

Best friends finally find love!

I've loved this series and am sad to see it come to an end.
While Will and Martin's story was slow going in the beginning, the ending made it all worthwhile for me. I loved best friends to lovers and I'm so glad these two finally got the hea they deserved.

Joel Leslie did such a fantastic job with all these characters.

Quite a Lovely Story

Wonderful performance by Joel Leslie, as always, and quite a lovely story. I read a review that complained about the lack of conflict, but I felt there was enough conflict within the characters themselves to make for a compelling story. My anxiety gets pretty bad from time to time, and I enjoyed the fact that I didn't once have to stop listening because the story made me anxious. I really liked it. 😊

Villain makes good

I loved that we get to see more of Martin and he redeems himself a bit with Hartley from the last book. Though we don’t really learn if he’s the one that outed Hart. I’m also curious about Will’s experience. It’s maddeningly vague on details. For the whole last book I thought he was the one courtmartialed but this book made it sound like he only testified on behalf of others.

Anyway, they’re maddening sweet and stupid together and came together in the end beautifully. And Joel Leslie is a treasure.

My Favorite 😍

I've read and listened to all 3 books in the Sedgwick's series and have enjoyed them all but this 1 is most special to me. Beautifully narrated a must if you've enjoyed the previous.
