About this listen

I know what it’s like to have your heart split down the middle.

One-half chases her. The other half chases after the lies, deceit, and betrayal.

It’s a burning ball of hell.

Seconds, minutes, hours, and years all spent endured the depth of my own burning inferno.

All of it runs together while life passes me by.

Thirteen years ago, the woman I was in love with left me standing at the altar.

Hurt. Broken. Humiliated.

Some say 13 is a lucky number.

Me? I curse the number.

Now she’s back. Reminding me. Torturing me.

She says things are not what they seem. That they weren't then either. Do I believe her? Do I forgive? Forget? Time and truth will tell.

Kathy Coopmans did it again with this spectacular book. This is my favorite of the Saints series. Tyson has been living in a shell since being left at the alter. This is more than a Rich Girl, Poor Boy story, which I thought was the direction the book was going to take. Lynne's family wanted them apart, and she wanted Tyson to stay safe. Both were destroyed for years. Bitterness, heartbreak, love, redemption, suspense, and an awesome twist are all part of this book. Kelley Hazen performed this book wonderfully. I love it when a narrator can perform many characters with distinguishable voices. The cameo appearances of characters from Riddick and Jude were a plus. Without giving away spoilers, the ending is great.

Love, Lies & Deceit

Tyson by Kathy Coopmans is book three in The Saints series. I absolutely loved reading Tyson and Lynne's story. Lynne hurt Tyson in one of the worst ways possible, she left him at the altar on their wedding day. I absolutely loved reading their reconnection. This was another great read by the author.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very entertaining. Tyson's life as been an empty hell since the day Lynn left him at the altar, now she's back. A not so classic tale of love between poor boy and rich girl. As the struggle to get the life they want, lies and deceits keep getting in the way. It is a fast paced, suspenseful and action packed with very interesting characters. The narrator's presentation really enhances this exciting tale.

A Good Listen

I really loved this book. They are all written with the characters doing all the taking, all the narration. I really identified with Lynne, a psychologist and therapist, estranged from her selfish family, really trying to make her way and establish her own sense of self. When fate gives her the opportunity to right a horrible wrong forced on her by her family her whole world starts to open up. Tyson has been going through real self destruction, running away from the pain of love gone wrong. His friends (see RIDDICK Book One and JUDE Book Two) are there to support him and you really get to see them work as a team as Tyson is stalked while he tries to put his life back together. Like RIDDICK and JUDE there is a real twist at the end to the crime/thriller aspect that comes kind of out of nowhere. It's a great cap to the three books although works all by itself. It's written for mature audiences but is probably the tamest of the three. You can really imagine this family of people. I like them. I'm happy for them.
