About this listen

I just ran into the girl who got away. Holding a hate letter addressed to me. And now we're stranded.

Last time we kissed, I broke her. My best friend's little sister worshiped me. She teased. She provoked. She goaded. Rubbed forbidden in my face till I went off the chain. Making her beg was inevitable. So was my sacrifice.

Last time we kissed, she demolished me. Her rich family thought I was perfect. I took Amy Kay under their noses. And then I kept taking. I promised too much. Loved her too hard. Left too soon.

Last time we kissed, he betrayed me. Her backstabbing brother. My ex-best friend. I never saw it coming. He'll pay for his sins 10 times over.

Last time we kissed, it was final. I wasn't supposed to see her again. Not in this city. On this elevator. The moment it craps out, stranding us overnight with animal cravings and fencing lies.

Last time we kissed, how could we know our next might truly, madly, beautifully restore us?

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow - a twisted second-chance romance. Watch an alpha male on a mission fight like hell to win his woman back. Full-length stand-alone with a swoon-worthy happily ever after.

Love the wow

This has a wow twist and drama in all the characters. They are so twisted in their past and yet find a way to the future.

Narration NOT for me

I will say it wasn’t bad enough that I didn’t finish the book. But, in the first few chapters I increased the play speed several times in order to get through it faster.

I didn’t care for the female narrator. The male was better but every time he said “darling” it made me cringe and ruined the flow of the whole piece in progress. It felt almost like AI narration which at this point I am not a fan of.

I would have enjoyed the story more if I had read it!

Ended up liking this.

Had a tough time getting into this, but worth it. A slow rekindling burn with a lot drama and family bs. Took a while for me to stop disliking the h, but she's justified.

Good story; poor performance by Brooke Hayden.

Almost didn't finish due to Ms Hayden's rendition. Whiny-too excitable on absolutely mundane portions. Felt like she would fall apart every second she opened her mouth. NO one is that anxt ridden every second. Did I mention her whiny voice? Amateur attempt to put excessive excitement in everything. Use excitement where it should be. Wish I had read the book instead of listening to it. Mr Discher did a much better rendition. Thank you Mr Discher..you saved the book.

Great Storyline

I think this one is better on Kindle vs Audible. I'm an audible Junkie. Joe Discher did a bang up job, and though I liked Brooke's voice I had a hard time liking her in the role, she came off over the top hateful from the very beginning, her voice was grating in her anger, then a complete 180 but by that time I was done with her character. I liked the story line and Trent at least

Well yeah

This story to me went on to long, I really liked the beginning but then seems like repeating the angry part at each other...could of been about half the time, thought it was a bit long, I liked the story idea though ... I like his author but this story wasn’t as exciting as it could of been

WOW, That Was One Fantastic Novel

This novel will definitely grab your attention and keep it. Nicole Snow is one fantastic author. The main characters were amazing with all their troubles and heartache. Now as for Chase and Lindsey, that's another story. Seriously what did she expect marrying for money? I still have no idea why they even got married in the first place. Definitely a must listen to.

good story, albeit a bit slow

I liked the premise of the story but for some reason, it did not blow me away. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the story and the narration team...who were excellent...but the characters were not very likable.

Awful female narration

The story was good. It had me intrigued. But the female narrator ruined it. She was so dramatic and angst throughout the whole story. It was painful.

Brooke Hayden makes you really HATE Amy Kay

I don't believe I've ever disliked a character that Nicole Snow has written as much as I do Amy Kay but man she has hit my threshold. I'm not sure if it's purely the voice of Brooke Hayden but she has a lot to do with it. Its not just the way she makes Amy Kay sound it's the other things that make it hard to listen to her narration, such as, she sounds as if she needs to swallow the spit in her mouth constantly and how she ends all her words that end in "ing" she pronounces with a k sound at the end. I'm seriously contemplating reading this versus continuing to listen, it's just that bad for me. But the character of Amy Kay is a major B****. She is vindictive, petty, and pathetic. I havent heard anything out of her mouth other than attitude. First as a bratty petulant teenager, then as a soon to be college student, but royally as an adult. The fact that she constantly feels it's ok to call him an orphan and uses it against him in anger. Nope, just no. Then she thinks her feeble I'm sorries should work, again, nope, just no. When you're sorry you make every effort not to commit the same sin. But it's her go to insult. Too bad he doesn't just throat punch her, but since he doesnt I wish he'd verbally flay her. I really don't see any redeemable qualities in her. Anytime I hear women or read women say I'll get you back, I'll make you pay, blah blah blah I just wish the dude would put his hand on her forehead and push. I wish Trent had been nastier to Amy Kay, just ripped her a new one and walked away. It's been freaking 6 years find someone worth your time other than this emotionally stunted woman.

And we all know poor Trent ends up with the shrew like all her verbal abuse never happened.

The one positive, Joseph Discher does a fabulous job.

***UPDATE***

I just couldnt finish. This is beyond stupid. I'm laughing at all the idiocy, Amy Kay in particular, but man Jace, he is so messed up that hes lucky his lungs and heart do their job without his help because his brain sure doesn't work at all. He really needs to be put down like a rabid dog. I don't care about Amy Kay and how it ends for her or if shes happy or if Jace chokes her out, I don't care about Jace and I don't care to see how it ends up for him. Trent, Trent, Trent, sadly I won't find out how you either, got your revenge (which you won't because of the ridiculous love you've kept for an unworthy girl) or you let it go to be happy (again for unworthy girl) I'm done with the remaining books. I'll be deleting them because they're her older stuff and based on the last few books I've listened to they're all this ridiculous.

I have been steadily listening to all of Nicole Snow's stories and you can definitely tell shes grown as an author because these earlier stories, ugh, straight up horrible.
