Publisher's summary

Her twin sister is missing.

When Ariana Costas heard her twin sister, Zoe, had disappeared, Ari left Vermont and returned to her Jersey girl roots to find her. Ari didn’t know what to expect from her search, but danger around every corner, dodging bullets, and a hunk in a leather jacket saving her was not it.

He thought she was someone else.

Detective Quinn Donovan thought he located Zoe Costas. Beautiful, dark haired and a perfect match to the description he’d been given, he believes he has his lady. Except as it turns out, the gorgeous woman is Zoe’s twin Ariana, the college professor. Suddenly, Quinn’s job is more about trying to protect Ari who is in trouble deeper than the Atlantic at high tide. There’s more at stake than trying to protect her without spilling his well-guarded secrets.

Will he lose his heart and the girl in the process?

Good story

I enjoyed this book but there was too much “thinking” over and over. If you understand the characters situation they shouldn’t have to have all the extra thinking.

nice change for Carly Phillips

(Quinn & Ariana): a surprisingly different type of book for CP. I really enjoyed it. First of all, the Costas family had me reliving "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and I was totally waiting for her to mention putting some Windex on something. 😉🤣. Their shenanigans were hilarious. Ariana is back home after finding out that her twin sister is missing. As soon as she returns, someone is taking shots at her. Quinn is an undercover cop working a case, he just happens to save Ariana. The chemistry is immediate but not just smoldering but conversational and funny. There's a little bit of mystery and a lot of danger involved with the case and Ariana ends up in the center of it. But I love that this is not the only storyline, there's a more important plot about family and belonging. It makes you really think about what you have and appreciate it. It really is a sweet and loving story underneath all of the drama.

not very good

There is nothing in the novel that is particularly offensive, though the voice actor's accents are pretty brutal. The plot is not very interesting or good, and I found myself drifting off, which is very rare for me with audio books. Oh, and the monkey, it's really annoying as a comedic gimmick.

Under the Boardwalk

Overall not a bad story. At times I lost interest felt like story drag on during some chapters! Story narration was average.

Slow

It’s a cute story but very slow, I hate all the male voices. Almost didn’t finish.

would have been 5 but...

her family wanted her to except them as they were but were dishonest about who they were and only excepted her after she changed to fit in. loved it until then.

Disappointing

As much as I love most of the books by Carly Phillips, I couldn’t even finish this one. Very slow start and never caught my interest….

Quin and Ariana

An entertaining, suspenseful and thrilling journey to go on with Quinn & Ariana and the crazy bunch of other characters, including a monkey. It took sometime to get into this story but once I did, I was on the edge of my seat.
Narration could have been better.

Just okay

I had to skip from chapter 6 to the last three chapters because it was so slow. I might have missed “the good parts “, but somehow I don’t think so. Good premise but poor presentation. The narration was okay, but a bit robotic at times, but better than the story. I am trying to decide if I will listen to Zoe’s story. Okay is the best I can say.
