Very good book to introduce you the main concepts of UBI. It is also a quick reading (hearing), aprox. 1h30. I have never heard of this concept before and I think I got a good output of all was this about. I tend to agree with the final lines of the book: by what was presented, it's clear the positive effects of UBI small-scale or local experiments. However, we cannot cease walfare rights that took years to be conquered and disseminated and transform all those benefits in UBI solely. That is not the right way to do it in my opinion. In fact, the main question of the book remained open. What will be the source of funding this income? In my country (Brazil), as well as in so many other underdeveloped countries I think, there are strong indiossincratic issues that would probably make the adoption of UBI nearly impossible.

Interesting Idea, Hard to Escalate

UBI is an interesting idea and it is challenging to bring this to reality. The book presents the history of UBI until the present.
UBI is not a monolithic idea, and the book presents several approaches to it. It's lacks the connection with the reality, with my experience with human nature and money, it is very unlikely to become a reality - who will pay the bill?
It's worthy of reading and get introduced to the concept.

I purchased this audio in hopes of an explanatory synthesis but unfortunately it was argumentative and full of fallacies.
