Publisher's summary

Identical twins, Jace and Jem Chamberlain, born of the Breedline species - a secret race of humans with the gift to change into wolf form - find their life changed forever after the Chiang-shih demon is finally destroyed, freeing Sebastian Crow - their evil half-brother - of the demon’s possession. As Sebastian moves on with his new life - evading punishment for his crimes against the Breedline - he uncovers a secret from his past, leading him down a dangerous path he hadn’t bargained for.

Meanwhile, Jace is fiercely determined to protect his beloved Tessa - who is pregnant with his twin sons - from Sebastian Crow and his recurring nightmares. Worried his dreams are visions of her death, he battles with the lesser of two evils: to seek revenge against his half-brother or surrender his fury before his thirst for vengeance destroys everything he loves. Now that everyone in the Breedline Covenant looks forward to Jem and Mia’s wedding, a mysterious guest arrives unexpectedly with an extraordinary gift of healing. The question is...are they all prepared to deal with the unforeseen visitor’s dark past - running from a corrupt group of scientists obsessed with his rare abilities - or will they be driven to the brink of madness?

A Very Intense Story where the Action doesn't Stop

Good Story, but have Kleenex ready because parts are tear jerseys. Though I enjoyed this book on a personal note, I recently lost my Husband so it was tough to get through the end part of the book. Narrator does a good job with voices and Storyline.

Solid 4 stars

I didn’t realise there were others set before this, there is Just enough revision to get the gist of the story. I did like the male narrator he did a good job changing his voice to fit so many characters.
There’s an epilogue to sins of chaos which has made me want to continue the series.

Trigger warnings needed for abuse however it isn’t descriptive. Sex scenes are not descriptive and pretty much fade to black.

Loved the index.
Solid 4 stars.

I have become a fan of the series !

The Breedline species - humans that can shift into wolves - have conquered the Chiang-shih demon releasing the evil half brother of Jace and Jem Chamberlain named Sebastian. Jace is forced to seek revenge on Sebastion and protect Tessa who is pregnant with his twins. Meanwhile, a mysterious guest arrives at Jem and Mia's wedding with a healing gift and past of running from scientists who have discovered and are interested in his abilities and possibly threatening Breedline's existence forever.
This was my first shape-shifting novel and I listened to the audiobook simultaneously while reading it on kindle. I found the narrator's voice to add to the story and fit the ambiance of my entire experience. The skinwalker aspect appealed to my Native American heritage and I found the wolf side to be very authentic from my 10 years of experience of working with dogs. The story has some strong male characters that are well developed with an otherworldly quality that is specific to Breedline. The story was well written and easy to follow for newcomers to the genre like me.
I would recommend this book for people interested in the paranormal as well as shapeshifters and biology. Animals lovers will be attracted to the wolf side of the Breedline. I have become a fan of this series and am looking forward to seeing what is in store in the next books ahead.

Unleashed revised

Took me a long while to get through this book. It is one of the longest books I have listened to and I only listen in the mornings before work.

The story to me was a bit confusing in the beginning but I eventually got into the story line. There are plenty of characters in this story to keep your mind jumping to try and guess what will happen next. I love the family that is involved and how they invite strangers into it making them feel part of it. The “twins” theme works well throughout the book.

For the part I didn’t like… the voices of the characters. The male voices weren’t too bad, however I had to stop listening multiple times due to the nasally and whiney sound of the female characters. It was very irritating to me and I almost didn’t finish the book because of it.

I think that is is a great story overall and will recommend it (if nasally voices don’t irritate you). I plan on buying the book to read also.

This book was given to me free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily.
