I had previously said these books arnt too angsty.. I lied. Sorry sorry!!

This one gets deep into loss and the struggles of coping. I still can’t get enough of these books, they are all so unique and I am obsessed with this group of guys!!

WOW!! This is probably the best one yet!
Without giving any spoilers, just be prepared to have a box of tissue on hand and listen to this at home. I think I cried about half a dozen times. This was so heartbreaking 💔 at moments. I did laugh out loud a few times too then more crying. Some sad and some happy tears. This is a new to new Authors and I can't get enough of them. Love ALL the characters and side characters too.

Love how Jackson and Simon grow together and create a strong and living family with Parker joining them - how could they not with such an amazing kid! He may be 10 but he runs their lives in the best way. Beautifully read narration as always and loved how all the guys in the series are involved in making their found family even better. So good, and so well written. Can’t wait for the next book!

I think I liked this book best so far in the series to this point, mainly because of bringing in the orphaned kid storyline to the group of friends.

I do wish there would have been a more involved conflict with the kid's estranged grandparents. It ended up being just a footnote conflict that resolved itself with no effort on the protagonists' end, which is why I downgraded my score for 'Story' to just 3 stars.

Also, what happened to the two letters that the dead mom left for Jackson and her son? They were going to read those later once the pain of her death subsided a bit, but the letters were never brought up again. I thought for sure that the letter to Jackson was going to reveal that she secretly used his donor sperm at a bank and his godson was actually his son for real. The end of the book was around Christmas time. I just saw it coming that they would read that letter on Christmas Day, but nope. I guess the author forgot about them. Oh well.
