On the field or off, it takes all you've got to be a winner.
If anyone understands the phrase "tough luck", it's Harrison. As a foster kid in a cruel home, he knows his dream of one day playing for the NFL is a long shot. Then Harrison's luck seems to change. He is brought into a new home with kind, loving parents - his new dad is even a football coach. Harrison's big build and his incredible determination quickly make him a star running back on the junior high school team. In no time, he's practically unstoppable. But Harrison's good luck can't last forever.
In his most dramatic and hard-hitting story yet, former NFL defensive end Tim Green writes about what it takes to be a winner, even when it seems like fate has dealt an impossible hand.

I teach middle school ESL and my students were enthralled with this book. Reading along to an audio really helps to improve fluency. The students were eager to listen and follow along each day. I was able to create comprehension questions for them and center projects/lessons around the book. (We had a great lesson on empathy and identifying with the character!). High-interest novels are so important for my ESL learners, so I am grateful for this book and narration. My Students Loved it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I had a great time listening to this book with my 7-year-old son. Some of the content is quite mature, so you have to really know whether your kid is ready (e.g., some serious hardship with the main character). However, it was great for us to be able to listen to it together and talk about the themes, which ultimately are quite uplifting. It's a nice way to connect with your kid. I also asked my son to weigh in on this review: "I thought that it was a good book, and there was some bad times and good times, but it was all fun and exciting and you didn't know what was going to happen next!"What other book might you compare Unstoppable to and why?
Tim Green has written a number of books. The one we're currently enjoying in print form is Perfect Season. We're also listening to Deep Zone on audio book. I think Unstoppable has been the best.Have you listened to any of Tim Green’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this was a first. Thought the performance was great. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think the book was really honest, in terms of the cruelty and kindness of kids toward one another. I appreciated the chapter where the main character goes out for the first time with a disability (not trying to give too much away), and the response he gets from both the neighborhood bullies and his close friends - really showing the range that we can expect in the world. The last chapter is definitely worth seeing it through to the end.Any additional comments?
