So so

I found this book/story lacked believability and characters weren't very bright. I have enjoyed all other Rhiannon Frater books I've read and/or listened to but this one not much.
Narration was fair.
I was given this book at my request and am voluntary leaving a review.

Pretty good!

I enjoyed the book. I do feel it was a little slow at times but still an enjoyable listen. I liked the characters and can’t wait to see where things go in the next book! The narration was good and easy to listen to!

Wow! Unique and gothic!

I loved how I felt like it was a retelling of Bram Stroker's Dracula with a unique twists and flair! Later it became even more unique and spellbinding. I wasn't sure how I felt about the story jumping between the past and present but overall I ended up enjoying it!. I can't wait doe the next book!

Not your normal Vampire

I loved this book and couldn't stop listening to it. The story captivated me and kept my attention from beginning to end. I can't wait to get my hands on book 2!

This was the first book that I have read/listened to by Rhiannon Frater and I can't wait to check out more of her books.

I was instantly drawn to Roman and his love for his family and heritage. He was strong, devoted and constantly tried to be a better person, not only for himself, but his sisters and then his extended family. I loved his connection to his sisters Alisha and Vanora. His sisters - I loved their connection with each other and with their older brother.

Armando is like the Dark Horse in the story line. I want to like him and hate him at the same time. His character intrigues me and I want to no more.

The narrator did a phenomenal job with this book. I think this my favorite narration of hers yet!

ONE GREAT VAMPIRE AUTHOR

i absolutely adore her this author doesn't have the best of the best but what she writes is always interesting this thus far is in my opinion not as great a series as her last dracula inspired series but it's completely different and i appreciate it immensely more modern and different. i love R.F

Intriguing Series.

This book starts slow and creepy but if you stick with it it will speed up and the story will move in the right direction. This book is quite different then what I expected.

Narration was well done and brought the story to life.

This book is well written and well developed, and the characters are captivating and interesting. Vanora is too trusting and doesn’t understand what her siblings went through and how hard it is for them to try to be “human”. The more time they spend with their kind the farther they drift from her.

Armando is there when she needs him most but he is hiding a dark secret that can change everything. There is a prophecy that envolves her and a vampire master biding his time to come for her.

The story wraps up with many unanswered questions and with vanora fleeing from her home to be with her relatives. She has had enough after what she saw at the Halloween party. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Good listen

Overall I enjoyed listening to this story. Interested to see where the story ends up moving forward. Only thing I did not like it going back and forth in time. The narrator did a great job.

Good start

Good start to a series
It did just seem like one book even tho it was originally a serial episode type thing.
I do like all four main characters
Roman the older brother is a great dad figure
Romondo is a 400 year old vampire loyal to his master who falls for the younger sister, the only one still human.
I think tho my favourite character is the middle sister, who battles the hardest for what she is.

3 star listen, narration fits the story, I’m looking forward to all the characters maturing more in the next instalment.
