Publisher's summary

Rick Waters, part-time detective and wannabe boat captain, has just solved the biggest case of his life and bought the yacht of his dreams. As he embarks on a journey to start a charter business in Destin and track down a lost treasure supposedly buried in the Florida Keys, a new mystery appears in the form of Emily, an attractive gray-haired woman who claims to have been kidnapped and had her appearance surgically altered. Emily has been accused of murdering her late husband, and she begs for Rick’s help to prove she is innocent.

Intrigued by the case, Rick agrees to help her find the truth about what happened to her. Emily is sure the people behind her abduction want to take credit for her work as a scientist. She claims she has developed a drug that may be the cure to mankind’s deadliest disease. The trail leads Rick from Florida to Grand Cayman and all the way to Switzerland, as he uncovers clues about the man Emily believes killed her husband and stole her drug. The skilled detective must prove who Emily really is and release her miraculous drug before the people who abducted Emily figure out he’s on to them.

Great Story Shadowed by Politics

Awesome story especially for a second book, and as always great narration from Nick Sullivan. Unfortunately the author felt like virtue signaling in this book which I never understood why authors do this as it will obviously upset half of their audience. For example, I highly doubt Rick Waters (the main character) who is a gun toting good ole boy from Texas feels uncomfortable in a neighborhood that is mostly white, yet the author feels the need to to explain how uncomfortable he is in multiple sentences. This ends up playing no part in the story and the book could have easily gone without it.

Perfect Audio Book For The Road to The Coast

This series has become a tradition for my son and I to listen to on our ride to South Florida. It puts us in an adventurous state of mind as we look for what waits around the corner. Love following Rick Waters on his thrilling escapades. ECS knocked it out of the park again with his home-run hit, Vanishing Waters.

Cute story

Great writer. Story is good, but the last few chapters took me completely out of the story. It really should have been two separate books. But overall it’s an enjoyable book.

Looking forward to many more!!!!

By Eric Chance Stone is a very good, very entertaining mystery worthy of your time and credit!!! This is book two in the Rick Waters Caribbean Adventure series. Book one is also Excellent and they do not need to be listened to in order.
In this book Rick Waters is approached by a woman claiming her identity was stolen along with the way she looked. It started to sound a little out there and bordered on unbelievable but I stuck with it. If you purchase this book just go with the story. In the end it all works out and becomes a completely believable story.
The series is narrated by Nick Sullivan who seems to have the voice for the Caribbean adventure type books. He also narrates for Wayne Stinnett as well as his own Caribbean dive series. If you haven’t listened to either of these , I would suggest both for many hours of great listening time.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wild tale!

VANISHING WATERS is a VERY creative and entertaining tale with a whale of a twist at the end. I'm not going to write a review but Shelley already has so read hers.

Another winner by a very talented author.

I first met Eric through Music and Rrailean Rum. My bed performed the song many times. Eric‘s direct approach to writing is unparalleled in the industry. He does not confound you with too many characters. The narration is excellent and we don’t have to deal with foreign languages. More riders should follow. his example of going from A-Z in a very direct matter. Thank you, Eric

Unbelievable story all the way around

This story was so over the top unbelievable. I liked the character and narration previously, so I continued the book to it’s finale. Totally a disappointment !!
