About this listen

Vegas Heat is the powerful story of the Thornton dynasty...of Fanny's twin sons, Sage and Birch: alienated from each other, one is content in his conventional life while the other's search for happiness leads to tragedy - and renewed hope.

It is the story of Fanny's two daughters: Sunny, betrayed by her husband, fighting a battle no woman should ever have to face...Billie, whose obsessive devotion to the Thorntons' children's-clothing empire has kept her from finding love.

It is also the story of Fanny's search for her own roots...and her relationship with Marcus Reed, the wealthy but mysterious businessman who promises her a passion she has been denied for too long.

A poignant and passionate tale of pride and ambition, heartbreak and betrayal, tragedy and triumph, Vegas Heat resonates with drama and emotion. It is the story of a family's struggle for success against all odds and their search for love and acceptance.

Where does Vegas Heat rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks right up near the top with most Fern Michaelbooks I've listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the story line in general. She holds your attention and makes you want to listen to more, more, more.
The narrator did a very good job as well. Bravo!!

I liked the first book in the series. IT WAS ENOUGH. I don't know what is going on in Fern Michael's life, but readers DO NOT need to have the leading character in the story have TRAGEDY after Tragedy after Tragedy After horrible thing happen. I made it through this book and then went on to the third only to find out in the beginning it was starting again!!! NO WAY AM I FINISHING THIS SERIES.
If you want to hear about someone being beaten down over and over and over and over and over, listen to this series, other wise save your time!

OMG REALLY? Story line horrible.

I read this one right before my first trip to Vegas, The title is true, it sure was hot in Vegas 115 degrees hot. The title did not match the story however: a relaxing pleasant read sitting by the pool alone but not sexy and steamy enough to be titled Vegas Heat There wasn’t even enough steam to dry my hair after my swim. Maybe change the title to Vegas Breeze. Ahh but then if you did that one could truly judge the book by the cover. Young readers can appreciate and gleen useful information about family dysfunctions

Honestly
