About this listen

Fans of spellbinding whodunits and Midwest charm find infinite delight in Susan Rogers Cooper's Sheriff Milt Kovak mysteries.

All the good sheriff of Prophecy County, Oklahoma, wanted out of his well-earned vacation to Las Vegas was some fun and relaxation. Milt certainly didn't gamble on finding his own kin embroiled in murder and battery: but that's exactly what he's dealt in Vegas Nerve.

Excellent narration

An entertaining story, read by one of my favorite narrators. Manages to be both an engaging tale and a relaxing listen.

A great listen!

This is a top-notch listen. Fast paced and with so many twists and turns your are really at a loss to say, “Who did it.” The good old boy sheriff musters his family to find out the central question. Controlling them and keeping them on the trail is like herding cats…very dynamic cats at that. If you listen, as I do, to books on the way to the office, you will not want to turn your IPod off when you arrive. Yes, it is that good.
