About this listen

I am a survivor.

Ten years ago, my world was shattered. One night changed my life forever by a sadist who took everything from me, just because he could. And while he did this, a green-eyed stranger watched and did nothing…or so I thought.

When my past and present collide, I am swept away by all the memories, horrors, and dreams of my past.

I want revenge.

And finally, after all the years of pain and sacrifices I’ve had to make, an opportunity presents itself. Within a 24 hour period, my tormenter and my green-eyed watcher enter my life once again.

Seeing this as my chance, I begin to make use of my blue journal, detailing my plans for revenge, taking matters into my own hands. Will I have what it takes to ignore what is right and wrong? To bring myself to make the men still alive pay for what they took from me? And how do I forgive the man I hold partially responsible when he’s the one supplying me with the means to get what I want?

With only a small window of time available, I have to be ready to take back my life, consequences be damned.

Because of my anguished past, my present will always be filled with vengeance.

I am Quinn. This is my life — my story.

Vengeance is a wild ride!

Vengeance by D.M. Earl
Narrated by Nya Simpson
Five Stars

Vengeance is the second book in The Journals Trilogy by D.M. Earl. This series needs to be read/ listened to in order. You will be lost if you haven’t read/listened to Anguish first. It was a roller coaster of a ride from the very beginning and it never stopped. This book starts where the first book leaves off. Quinn is an amazingly strong woman who has been through unthinkable thing. Stone and his crew have come to help settle the score. There are some explicit scenes in this book that could be triggers. I listened to this book in one sitting because I just had to know how it ends. I’m now very intrigued to see what happens in book three. Can’t wait!!

This book was narrated by Nya Simpson, same narrator as Anguish. Her voice was mellow and easy to listen to. She really brought the characters to life. I look forward to listening to many more books by her.

Loved it

This is the second audio I have listened to in this series. I highly suggest listening to the first book to help you enjoy this series. I was pulled into the story by this narrator's voice and enjoyed being engaged to the end. It was easy to listen to and made me want to keep listening. The voice is easy and fun and truly adds to the story. This is a story full of action and revenge. What happens next with this MC you don’t want to miss. She only has a small amount of time to get her revenge, will fate allow her vengeance? I highly recommend this audio, I loved it and so will you.

Another moving tale

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel going into the second book of the series but the author continued to move me beyond what I was prepared for. And the narration took the emotion to another level. Just an excellent overwhelming book that really moved me. Wow.

Oooooo this is sooooo good

Vengeance is so, so sweet.
This is the second book of The Journals Trilogy. And it definitely lived up to my expectations.

Nya Simpson does an AMAZING job with the narration .

Quinn is getting ready to meet up with her sisters and her twins. Stone has his team in place who are ready to finish this and keep Quinn and her family save. Quinn's sister reveals a huge secret that she's been keeping. Will this reveal why Raven stayed in contact with the man who destroyed their families lives? Will this tear the sisters apart or help them stick together?
This again is not for the faint hearted. But if you can stomach a bit of torturing the bad guys this is a must read.
I love that the book has no cliffhangers. But now its got me excited about the next book.
What does D.M. Earl have in store for us in the next installment!

4.5 Stars

I am loving the uniqueness of this trilogy and must tell you that you need to read these wonderful books in order.

In Anguish the story is set with the past and the events that has made Quinn who she is today. It helps to explain some of her quirks and why she does the things she does.

But in Vengeance, we get a whole different dynamic. Hang onto your hat as it is one hell of a ride. Quinn seems to have come to terms with Stone being here to help and protect her but she is still not 100% over the hate she has for him. His part in all that happened so many years ago. But he makes her feel safe so she is risking her family and trying to trust him.

Stone realized that he needs to open himself up to Quinn in order to start to help her understand. He has quilt from that horrific night but him being here and helping her is about so much more than that. He will stop at nothing to make sure that Quinn and her family can rest easy. No more looking over their shoulder at every corner.

The events of this book will blow your mind. I don't want to give anymore away but be prepared for unbelievable strength from Quinn and Stone's crew. There were times when I wanted to jump in the book and do some ass kicking myself.

I was not anywhere near ready for this book to end when it did. I am very impatiently waiting for AWAKENING....

Vengeance by D.M. Earl

VENGEANCE (THE JOURNALS TRILOGY BOOK TWO) AUDIO BOOK by D.M. EARL was a great continuation of Quinn's story. I did not think I could go through so many emotions. I felt like I was developing and growing with Quinn. I originally was angry, vengeful, and full of hate but being in her head helped me process through what happened to her. I did not want to stop and cannot wait for the next part.
