About this listen

The Nashville woods hold a killer's deadly secrets in this cold case thriller by the New York Times best-selling author of You're Not Safe.

Years ago, three Nashville teenagers went into the woods for a hike - and only one came out. While her two friends disappeared without a trace, Amber Ryder was discovered at the bottom of a ravine with a broken arm, head trauma, and zero memory of the horror that put her there. With no leads, the investigation hit a dead end.

Now another woman's body is found it the woods. When the trail leads to the missing teens' remains, the cold case becomes a fresh hell for forensic technician Georgia Morgan. But while Georgia works with Amber to try and reawaken her memories, her gut tells her the worst is yet to come.

Homicide Detective Jake Bishop can't be sure whether Amber is an expert manipulator or the killer's next target. Either way, he's determined to protect Georgia. Because the more she digs into the past, the more deadly secrets emerge. And a nightmare years in the making is about to come to a bloody, terrifying end.

Contains mature themes.

Book #4, NOT book #2!

This book tells the story of the last sibling, the adopted Morgan daughter. She, as a forensic scientist with a curious mind, is put in charge of cold cases, by her oldest brother, the Nashville PD Chief.
The story centers around a five year old cold case of 3 teens who went into the forest but only one came out, and she has amnesia.
This book is well worth the credit, but I suggest that while the books can be read as stand alone stories, you'll have a richer understanding of the family and its dynamics if you start with the oldest brother and then the other brothers in order. All 4 of the books in the series are well worth the credits!

End of a series

I loved this series, however, the narrator for this last book is not for me. Audio pallets vary, but if I wasn’t invested in the series no way would I have finished this one, just because of the narration.

I really liked the story though the main character did sound a, little whiny at times

the narrator sounded like an ai bot in places. the reading was a little stilted.

The narration threw me off

This book has a new narrator and it’s clear she didn’t have the chance to listen to the other books. The main character was portrayed as whiny and needy. If you’ve read any of the other books, you know that if Georgia Morgan is anything, it isn’t whiny or needy. The story was good and interesting (although I figured out the twist much earlier than I did with the other books in the series) but the narration took a lot away from my enjoyment this go round.

narration is terrible

the story is alright, not my favorite of the series, but I think it is because of the narrator she is awful. I wouldn't listen to another book read by her

Clever Romantic Suspense

The final book (#4) in the Morgan of Nashville Series (although the sub-title indicates #2). I enjoyed the writing, the storyline and the twists. I found Rachel Harris's narration a little grating. Although most of her character dialogues were pretty good, some were horrible and she was monotone and draggy during the narrative parts, of which there were many in the audiobook. I increased the speed to 1.2 and found that this helped significantly.

Morgan's of Nashville

Awesome...you will want more! All four books are, very much, worth reading, even twice maybe!

Good story, not a fan of the narrator

Wasn't a fan of this narrator. She sounded like a smoker when doing the narration parts but the voice she used for Georgia made her sound like 15 year old.

Great plot, twists

I did not like the narrators different voices. It was hard to distinguish who was talking because voices sounded so similar.

I guessed it but it was still a surprise

I guess the ending of the story but I was hoping it wouldn’t end that way
