About this listen

When games of politics put the lives of deep space mining crews in danger, a coalition of captains organizes a resistance.

The crew of the DSM Boone are still reeling from being the target of a saboteur and the loss of a friend, but Captain Greg Daniels pushes them back out to lasso another asteroid. Will this break their spirit and cause a mutiny?

Computer specialist Zayna Watson doesn’t know who she can trust. Her world is being thrown into a roller-coaster ride of adventure, betrayal, and self-discovery. Will she stand with the one man that has given her all her opportunities? Is the evidence against him, shown to her by an underground resistance movement, strong enough to convince her to bring down her mentor?

As a conspiracy is uncovered and alliances are being formed, who will be at the top when the dust settles?

This is the second book of the five-book Deep Space Mining series.

A complex web of costly secrets and lies

Received as an audio review copy from the author, this is an honest review. Vultures is the explosive sequel to Lasso and brilliantly continues the labyrinthine mystery that gets serious, grittier and darker; and still is wondrously narrated by Kyle Snyder. For the captain and crew of DSM Boone, completion of their contract cost them a dear friend and the harrowing betrayal of another; now just want to mourn and take a break once the team get back to "The Ranch". But the Director of FFM, David demands that Boone get back out among the stars and retrieve a very "special" asteroid; while it's an unwanted assignment... it's what the crew discover that gets them embroiled into a far-reaching scandal. A scandal that will cause a tsunami of change in those that run Nalik, forcing everyone to take a side on what's the most important: truth or power. Highly recommended.
