About this listen

Get your affairs in order. War doesn’t wait for anyone to be ready.

With the terrible recent events weighing on my mind, I know the only way I can go is forward. My family, our allies, and I know for certain that there is a sect of witches that want to control the moon cursed for their own nefarious purposes. We don’t know how many of them there are, and we don’t know their names. We know it’s not every witch, but that doesn’t make us less suspicious of every single one of them. The threat is so grave that we finally have strong allies in the werewolves, not just in my fiancé, Heath Everson and those he leads. A common enemy can do that for those at each other’s necks for so long.

Although the war is quiet, it brings with it what every war brings. Change. New duties and responsibilities. New things to celebrate and things to mourn. Everyone is getting their affairs in order, moving pieces of their armies and making sure their own positions are stable.

With all the pieces moving, I find myself in a game not meant for me.

A game I am ill equipped to win.

She has written another great book that touches and delves into characters working through emotions we can all somehow connect with. very well written, pulled on my heartstrings at many times through the book.

another great book!

This was an emotion-packed story that gives a lot of background information and changes the story arc. It was an enjoyable read.

The narrator didn't a fine job as well.

Different From Others and Good

There is nothing I dislike about this book. It was not completely predictable, but still reasonable. It is so easy to go too far with fantasy into the ridiculous especially this deep into a series to get the shock sometimes authors think they need to be bigger than the last. It was hard to “put down” the book even when it was definitely better for me to go to sleep. I truly enjoy seeing characters develop and this alternate modern earth develop. I was on pins and needles thinking that some of the narration has to be foreshadowing, and trying to predict what would happen, wondering if and when they would come to fruition. I was pleasantly surprised that none of my guess were correct excited for the next book I rarely manage to finish a series when I have to wait for the next one. I tend to give up, but I think I will persevere the whole world is just too fascinating. Thank you Ms. Banet.

Surprises are always good

I have loved this series since the beginning. I’m so glad I came upon it. The writing is entertaining, and well written. I can’t wait for book 12, the only thing that makes me sad is that it gets closer to the end of this series. The journey of Jacky throughout this series has been amazing with all the twists and turns. As I mentioned before I can’t wait until the next book. Kudos to the narrator she does a wonderful job.

Another great Jacky Leon story

Thiis is a good story for Jacky Leon but I do feel they have slowly started lacking some. It gives a good insight into deeper part of Jacky's thinking and insecurities and why a lacking of a mate bond. I do feel like the stories are getting shorter- breaking them up into shorter books and not a good all included full story. I do look at how long the audiobooks are because I don't like spending credits on stories unless they are around 10 hours unless I have gotten into a series which I have here. The last couple showed over 8 hours but when I Start my books they are only a little over 7(not sure why it's not giving accurate info on this).

good story

I truly enjoy this book series. I have no idea what is going on in this book though. All I got was hours and hours of boring drama. I read these books to be absorbed by the world and all the great characters. I do not need to spend hours in the book listening to the gay struggle, propaganda and poor me stories non-stop. I literally could have slept through the first four hours of the book and not miss a thing. Just extremely disappointed. I generally do not read or listen to depressing stories because it runs in my family. Will not be listening to this one again. I think the author needs to a get a pick-me-up or seek help with all the underlining issues going on in this book.

Should be called the War of Depression
