About this listen

The Survivor...

Though no one can command her, this warrior would try to conquer her heart...

Physically scarred in childhood by an act of betrayal, Pia has never been considered an attractive woman to other humans, but in a universe filled with aliens she's managed to blend in. One horrible mistake and she is on the run. Desperate to hide her identity, she makes a deal with Galaxy Brides - in exchange for a new face, she'll marry anyone they put in front of her. Never did she realize her future husband would be the most handsome warrior of the Draig.

The Warrior...

Though no man can thwart the brave dragon leader, a woman would be his undoing... Dragonshifter Zoran of Draig is a man who knows what he wants. Being a prince and the commander, he is called upon to make swift decisions, be ready to battle at a moment's notice, and most of all, he always expected to be in control. When his beautiful wife, the one person who should obey him unconditionally, refuses to do so, Zoran discovers the battle for his heart's desire is fiercer than any he war ever waged before. Can the conqueror become the conquered?

About the Series:

The dragonshifting princes have no problem with commitment. In one night, they will meet and choose their life mate in a simplistic ceremony involving the removing of masks and the crushing of crystals. With very few words spoken and the shortest, most bizarre courtship in history, they will bond to their women forever. And once bonded, these men don't let go... Too bad nobody explained this to their brides.

Great Story, Annoying Narration

Story was excellent.
Narrator performance was intermittent; sometimes it was good, sometimes it was poor enough to dislodge the listener from the storyline and instead focus on the bad narration.

entertaining, fun, love story

What did you love best about Warrior Prince?

I loved the MCs. Pia is my favorite Draig princesses.

Any additional comments?

This book was long awaited and so I enjoyed listening to the audio version. At first I wasn't too sure about the narrators voice but she grows on you. I enjoyed her performance and thought she did a well enough job. What really made this book four stars for me, is the story and the amazing characters. I will admit the mis communication and bits of their relationship gets annoying, but find me a book or any love story (real or fiction) where this does not happen. They work through their issues and have one of the best love stories I've ever read. Pia and Zoran make one bad@$$ couple and I love them and the fierceness and comedy their book brings.

Swordplay as foreplay?

Where does Warrior Prince rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top Ten! Along with the other Dragon Lords series!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Warrior Prince?

So many memorable parts too hard to have just one!

What does Sarah Van Sweden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Although great with the female voices, not so good with the males so really didn't feel she added to the overall experience of reading.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both!

Any additional comments?

Odd match but definitely two kindred souls; assassin for hire Pia and Captain of the Guard (and Draig Prince) Zoran find themselves matched by his crystal at the Draig breeding festival but they seem to be at odds from the very beginning. He finds her unbelievably beautiful but she feels she is ugly and undesirable and believes he chooses her as some sick joke. It takes, worries of war, a kidnapped princess, poisonings, near fatal attacks on royalty, enemy spies, and a thankfully interfering queen to bring these two stubborn warriors to middle ground where they find that all that fire is much more enjoyable focused on foreplay rather than swordplay. This is one of my favorite installments of the Dragon Lord series and if you haven’t read it I highly recommend it, the characters are extremely lovable and the story and dialog are not to be missed!
Sarah Von Sweden has a sweet, clear, light voice; works well with female characters but not always the best for the males. Overall she did a great job with differentiation, diction and was a great pleasure to listen to.

Love dragon shifters

Loved the story of Zoran and Pia! As with the other stories I listened to before in the series, the match of a Drag Prince with a foreign woman had its challenges, especially when the woman doesn't know the customs and tradition of the planet she landed on. It is quite a story, lots of misunderstandings and words have this couple at odds sometimes. Once they are truly bonded which happens towards the end, they are very happy together. Loved that many events in the previous stories are told again but from a different perspective so I have an even better understanding of them. Quite a few twists in the story that I didn't expect, and the ending... loved it.
Ms. Van Sweden's voice is very lovely, very good narrator, but I found it didn't really match the story, very soft at times, too soft. But past the mid mark something changed, and I could really get into the listening. I started hearing more variation, more appropriate tones to match the words. Towards the end it became really good and how it should have been the whole way.

Warrior Prince

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes

Did Sarah Van Sweden do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

NO!!! Send her back to reading children books!!!

She could sound like a man at all and I did not like her voice for the women!!!

Any additional comments?

Don't use Sarah Van Sweden again!

Warrior Woman

Where does Warrior Prince rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Pia, she has gone through so much, yet retained her innocence while becoming such a physically strong person.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

So many, when she confessed to Zoran.

Any additional comments?

This should be titled Warrior Bride.

Zoran had no idea what he was getting when he and his crystals chose Pia at their wedding unique ceremony. She is such a strong, yet vulnerable person. He is a man. While he tries every way he knows and others suggest to capture her the path is not easy for either of them.

Her past is full of issues and circumstances. In fact, signing on to the Ship of Brides was a life or death decision. She endures a lot which you will need to read about. I will tell you that scars are not always surface only.

Zoran is Head of Military and the strongest warrior. It is enjoyable to see his pride and surprise at the capabilities of his wife. This is concurrent time line with the previous three books. So if you have read or listened to them you will know the country has enemies and traitors and battles to be fought and won.

How will the uber protective husband deal with the independent battle tested bride? Deal with her he must if he intends for their marriage to continue. And for him and the males of his world there is no option.

Come along for the emotional and sometimes humorous sometimes intense journey with these two unforgettable characters.

Amazing series !!!

Warrior Prince is the fourth book in The Dragon Lords series by Michelle M. Pillow. It tells us the story of Prince Zoran and Pia.

Prince Zoran is the captain of the Draig guards and one of the 4 princes looking for a bride thru Galaxy Brides.

Pia, a trained assassin physically scarred from a childhood act of betrayal, is running from a possible execution. In exchange for being given a new face she joins the Galaxy Brides.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are fresh and exciting even though the books all take place at the same time and place the stories are each unique. The books are very well written and a must read for all paranormal readers.

I highly recommend this series. It's a really good read.

Did she forget she was a bride?

I liked the story but Pia irritated me when she acted like she didn't have to be a wife. Darn good thing her warrior was honorable. Love the dragons and love how feisty Pia's personality was inquisitive and confident for someone scarred!

Love the dragon lords!

What made the experience of listening to Warrior Prince the most enjoyable?

I love hearing the interaction between the characters, the missunderstandings are always so humorous.

What other book might you compare Warrior Prince to and why?

Not sure so far miss pillows books have been one of a kind for me.

Have you listened to any of Sarah Van Sweden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this it the first time but I think she did I great job bring the story to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dragon men are hot lol

Any additional comments?

What a great story. I loved it and it was great to get the in depth information on the characters. Each prince and each bride is so different and their background story are so cool. Michelle pillow is a master mind at the paranormal romance. Great mix or story, fun hotness!
