About this listen

Over 70 percent of Earth is covered in water, yet over 80 percent of that water remains unexplored. There are currently over 10 billion people on Earth, but terrestrial humans are only aware of those who live on land. The other three billion humans took a decidedly different evolutionary path, adapting to live in the largest combined area on the planet–the water.

These two highly-intelligent civilizations, while indistinguishable in their DNA, have adapted to the territories in which they live, and although they share a single planet, their worlds could not be more divergent. Kept apart by an oceanic demarcation line known as the Devine Gap, the oceanic difference in the depth to which a terrestrial human can dive, and that to which an aquatic human can ascend, the two civilizations have remained separated since their evolutionary births.

Following a chance encounter between Jacqueline, a terrestrial human and experienced dive master, and Argo, an aquatic human and scientific researcher, their desire to bridge the Devine Gap becomes an obsession for both of them. An obsession with potentially deadly consequences.

It has been said that the human spirit can overcome any obstacle, but can it overcome the water?

Water and Land

Another fascinating story by Riano D. McFarland. Love how he weaves the world of land and the world of the sea together, and puts technology to the test so love can triumph.

Narration was very good.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Ocean life

This was another wonderful story from this author. There was a lot of great information about the ocean and all of the creatures that reside there. The narration by Tim Welch was wonderful. I received this audiobook for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review.

Water

This was an excellent story. I enjoyed it! It took narrator, Tim Welch, a bit to catch on to the story, but he finished strong. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Great Novel,Made my Heart Sing

I loved the description of the under ocean world Aro lives in.
This is a beautiful story with the usual governmental getting in the way of things not their business. I would want to live in the ocean community described in thos book. The Narration is quite different, sort of like listening to a 50s radio broadcast. I personally like this affect.

What an adventure!

Riano takes us on an adventure where Jacqueline a terrestrial human and deep sea diver meets an aquatic human, Argo. They are both human in their DNA but neither can live in each other’s world. They fall in love but know they cannot be together. Jacqueline’s brother created a diving pod so at least they could see each other through a pane of glass in a portal in the pod. Their constant dives got the attention of the navy who catches a glimpse of Argo. In an attempt to capture him for research something terrible goes wrong. Will Jacqueline and Argo ever have a chance at a life together? You will have to take this adventure to find out!

The way the author brings you into the story.

I love this authors ability to make impossible story lines very believable. This book draws the reader to an enjoyable place and the narrator is perfect.

A Love Story That Will Make You Hold Your Breath!

At the beginning of the story, I was a little distracted by the audio quality. It reminded me of an old-fashioned radio murder-mystery broadcast. However, the more I listened, the more it actually fit the story's narrative. Soon, it appeared as though John Cameron Swayze was telling me a story that literally took my breath away. At points, I caught myself using the "shallow breathing" method described in the story, as it completely engulfed my imagination. I've read other books by this author, and each of them is so different from the other, but by the second chapter, I'm totally hooked until the very end. I'd HIGHLY recommend this book to people who enjoy the marvels of the deep blue oceans and a love story that leaves you breathless!

Regrets

I should have sampled this before the purchase. I like the premise of the story but the writing and narration was just not good.
