About this listen

Those weasels are up to something....

Between them, Bernard and Melody Earls have looks, charm, brains...everything but money. That's why they steal from the rich and give to themselves. So when Alexander Hamilton Plaskett hires them to nick a silver statuette of a pine marten from his brother Paul Revere Plaskett, they're happy to oblige. But it won't be as easy as it looks.

For one thing, the little beast is guarded by Fitzroy Fortresses, the best security system money can buy. For another, the five Plaskett siblings are obnoxious buffoons. Still, a job is a job, and this one may offer more than it appears. At least, that's Bernard's theory. The pine marten isn't particularly valuable, so why do the Plasketts contest its ownership so fiercely? To find out, he and Melody insinuate themselves into the Plasketts' world and enlist a college geek to hack the unhackable Fitzroy system.

Failure means poverty. Discovery means prison. And the biggest obstacle to Bernard's brilliant schemes? Melody's penchant for running off-script!

Will the real weasel please stand up.

I just listened to this book that I received from Story Origin. This is my voluntary review.
The narrator read this book to perfection. The dry humor was excellent. I was chuckling throughout. I enjoyed the main couple. Both very attractive yet totally devoted to each other. They are attempting a heist, but fail over and over. So funny. The secondary characters are also very "colorful."

Fun Adult Read Caper

Parents: R - there is quite a bit of bad language, but it's the really large amount of sexual content that throws this into the R range. There is lots of insinuating and then out right stating, nudity, alluded sex scenes and orgis, and then drugs and alcohol are definitely used heavily. This is not a book for kids or teens. There wasn't any violence to note.

The story isn't bad and I did enjoy some of the humor but overall it just felt a bit like a teenage fantasy of what an adult caper should look like. The over played sexual side of this story really took away from the caper for me personally.

The narrator did a great job and I did really enjoy listening to him.

This was pretty good

I don’t usually take chances on books with less than a hundred reviews, but I’m glad I found this one, particularly the way I found it. This book was surprisingly enjoyable. Good character development and the story didn’t need a chart to keep track of characters. Story was fun and funny, listening to how out of touch the 1% is always enjoyable and ripping them off is even more satisfying.

The Heist of a Weasel!

I really do enjoy Tounge in Cheek Humor and Snarky MCs. This story has plenty of this and such odd attempts at a thief. The Family fighting over the Weasel are the Plaskett, They are a eccentric Family that is just, Very Odd is so many ways, starting with their names. Alexander Hamilton, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross,

a criminal love story

This is a fun engaging story about a pair of thieves in love trying to make their way in the world. I thought it was enjoyable and engaging and I'd happily read a whole series with these characters.

Delightful narration!

Jono Eiland’s narration beautifully fleshes out the author’s broadly painted characters and elevates the writing with its specificity and humor.
