About this listen

Life in the streets take on a whole new meaning in this urban anthology of "hood" tales compiled by New York Times best-selling author Wahida Clark

"Black Is Blue" by Victor L. Martin delves into the life of a corporate woman who falls in love with a thug and finds out just how easy it is to stray from the straight and narrow.

Eighteen and hungry, Wiz's only addiction to drugs is the money it makes. But Crystal changes all of that and shows him just how powerful a woman can be, in "The P is Free" by LaShonda Sidberry-Teague.

Bobo, a member of the infamous Eight-Trey street gang, learns that gang life isn't all it's cracked up to be as "street wars" take on a whole new meaning in “The Last Laugh” by Bonta.

Shawn "Jihad" Trump tells a story of loyalty, love and honor as The Point Blank Mob is brought to its knees, leaving the crew fighting for their lives and freedom in “All for Nothing.”

And Wahida Clark introduces Nina, a woman tired of being disrespected by men, who takes revenge to the ultimate level in “Makin' Endz Meet”.

Narrator was boring

The stories were good but the narrator was so boring that i found myself losing interest she didn’t really bring the characters to life i was struggling to finish

I really enjoy crossovers

Peace.. still catching up on Clark books. Very talented writer. I’m inspired by her remarkable bounce back.. Gives me hope that when my Sun gets released, he will do great things as he was destined to do!!

Amazing

Each one of these stories was amazing and left me wanting more. I wish they would have been longer

As expected

This was a good listen. I really liked all of the short stories enjoyed Wiz the most would love to get the results of that as well as the story with Nina. I love short stories but wan'ted more depth. This is a good book if you are into hood books.

Terrible

I'm not sure if there are several storys or not because I can't get passed the 1st. Jessica Pimentel is a HORRIBLE story reader. Her emotions are misplaced and I can't follow what's going on. Is he Mad, Shocked, Sad cause I'm Confused

A waste of time!!!!

As soon as the unfinished stories get good, there over, you should warn your readers, that you are just writing a few mini, half done stories, imnot even going to listen to the third one, I’m already disappointed!! Thanks for nothing

The narrator ruins it

Maybe this was a good book maybe it wasn’t. Idk. The narrator read like an elementary school kid reading their moms diary. I just couldn’t get thru it. I’ve been a listener for years. I book about two books a week. This narrator might be the worst. Maybe the book can be re-released?

Couldn't Finish Narrator Blues

Couldn't get pass the first chapter the narrator did not do it for me. An accent or something I don't know but I stopped listening halfway through the first chapter it was awful.
