Publisher's summary

Could Shaylynn Ford be the perfect woman for Neil Taylor? Neil certainly thinks so. The problem is, he’s pretty sure he’s not her perfect man - that was her husband, Emmett, a wealthy politician who was assassinated eight years ago.

Neil, the director of a Christian school, is gifted with a singing voice that can heal the sick and bring souls to Christ, but his own soul is burdened by his insecurities and past indiscretions. He feels like he’s in competition with the memory of Emmett - and Neil’s desperation to win Shaylynn’s heart may lead him to do something he may regret.

Meanwhile, Shay herself is head over heels for Neil, and she just wishes he would open up to her. It may take a miracle to make Neil’s heart sing again.

Thank you Kendra!

Loved the book messages and my ultimate favorite character was Homer. Yes on this audible a couple of lines were repeated. But get pass that and listen to the messages. This book kept me wanting more and learning the different layers of each character. Also kept me hoping for the best outcome even when it wasn't the outcome I expected. That's what kept it so on point! Breathe Jesus is one of my new mantras. Thank you for sharing.

Baby!!!!! It was so pure!

I loved the entire storyline. It is refreshing to listen to a book and still be able to witness the power of Jehovah. This is my third book by the author, and I think I’ll go through her entire catalog!

I didn't think the sequel would be as enchanting, but it was well written and not a dull moment...A must read

Living in the shadow of a dead man is hard

Neil Solomon Taylor was in love with a widow who was younger than him. His problem was that he was jealous of the memory of a dead man, one that was imperfect but perfect in the mind of Neil. He had so many insecurities and questions about himself and his past with two failed marriages. He did not know how to deal with these questions. His relationships with his best friend and pastor and an aging deacon kept him on the straight and narrow. Shaylynn Ford was the best thing to happen to him and he desperately wanted to make her his wife.

This story was sort of boring in the beginning but soon kept my attention in the end. The friendship and support between Neil, C.J., and the deacon was something that all people should hope to have that friend who gives excellent support to the friend in need. They all supported each other. The support that Shaylynn gave Theresa in her time of need was heartbreaking and scary.

In the end, miracles do happen when Solomon sings. God used his voice for healing and love.

A bit of a struggle

If I didn't already know that I enjoyed booked by this author, I probably would not have made it through this book. The reading was almost painful to listen to. It sounded robotic and stacatto. Emphasis and emotions were often missing or misplaced. It was a bit of a struggle to listen to this one. I already know and loved the characters and that helped me get through it. I enjoyed the story, but not the reader.
