About this listen

Jamie shares what we as Christians are to do when it turns out that God's plans for our life are different from our hopes or our dreams. What does the Bible say about facing reality? What do the scriptures tell us about trials and tribulations that we all experience? What happens when things go wrong? How do we overcome the great disappointments in life? Jamie's unique ability to tell a story that touches our deepest wounds, comes from his personal experiences, his own disappointments and his faith that God is a loving, kind and giving God. This message will touch your spirit and heal your deepest hurts and disappointments. Spoken to a church following the death of their beloved pastor's wife, Jamie reveals scriptural truths that prove, despite our disappointments or sense that our prayers are unanswered, God has a better plan than we could have ever hoped for ourselves.

Listened to it a few times and took notes. He doesn’t offer easy answers, but instead provides new perspective on life’s suffering. Solid.

Great little sermon!

In this message to a church whose minister's wife recently died, Jamie tells us that God wants the best for us, even when that "best" is different than what we have hoped for. Paul wanted to go to Spain, but he wound up in a Roman prison instead. What God wanted for Paul was better than what Paul wanted for himself. Wisdom is seeing God at work despite the circumstances we find ourselves in. This is a good listen for anyone who is disappointed in life and is wondering if God really cares.

A message for the ages!
