About this listen

Young, successful, and thriving, Shania and Greg have it all going on. Not only do they have the kind of relationship everyone envies, they’re also walking the right path in so many other ways. Greg, who’s a youth pastor at his church, is happily making a difference in the lives of troubled teens. But after receiving some unexpected news, Greg’s manhood takes a devastating blow.

Realizing that her man is headed for depression, Shania suggests they take an exotic vacation to revitalize their marriage. Except the trip seems to pull them further apart instead of bringing them together. Caught in the middle of a sinister plot, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives. Greed, lies, and deception could cost someone their life....

Where the narrators are concerned because honestly, it's not easy to do. I get that, however, this performance was beyond any excuse or exception. I was able to receive the message, but honestly when you invest interest & a CREDIT(this was free) you expect the story and storytellers to be on point

I usually hold back...

The narrator had such an unnatural cadence through the whole story it was difficult to stay in the story. I tried to speed up the rate, and that helped a little. there were also several times in the recording where the same phrases were unnecessarily repeated (sounded like an editing error).

performance took away from the story

Before you waste your time with this one let me warn you, the narrator is AWFUL. I really wonder why she was chosen to narrate this story. The story probably had potential but her voice was not for this story.

Stop!

I love this author so I'm going to press through, It's actually a good story but the narrator is horrible. It's like did she practice or even read the book before she did the recording? Authors should really do a trial run with the narrators because the wrong narrator can ruin a good book.

I should've read instead of listened

I downloaded this book to listen to while I work overnight to help the time go by. When it first started and the young lady was reading the acknowledgment I was um ok why is she reading like that, kind of child like. As time went on I began to get real frustrated. The narrator read the book as if she was reading a children book. Very slow and drawn out. This made it very hard to get into the story. If it wasn’t for the lack of internet service at my job I would have ended the book and downloaded another one.

Horrible narration
