About this listen

USA TODAY BEST SELLER A classic novel from fan favorite Debbie Macomber, this is an emotional story about fighting for happiness and holding on for true love.

Marrying Glenn Lambert was either the smartest thing Maggie Kingsbury has ever done or the craziest mistake of her life. Best friends as children, they went their separate ways until a chance encounter at a wedding inspires this spontaneous leap of faith. How could she resist the sweet spell of a moonlit night and whispers of devotion guaranteed to melt her heart? But past disappointments and unhealed emotions soon start to wreak havoc with their vows.

Glenn knew his heart was bruised when he asked Maggie to marry him. But he meant every word; he’s sure they belong together. In so many ways, they’re still strangers, but the love he has inside tells him that no matter what happens, it’s Maggie he wants forever. Whatever it takes, he’ll prove she’s the only woman for him.

I really enjoy books by this author. I think this one was sweet even with all the misunderstandings between the characters. I am not sure how I would of reacted in their situations but their reactions were believable. I think others will enjoy listening to this book as well. I enjoyed the narrator as well. She does a lovely job at reading and keeping your interest. She brings plenty of life to the story with her voices and the way she reads the book. I am sure to listen to another book she’s narrated in the future.

Another good book. By Macomber

I love Debbie’s books and have them in book form, on my kindle and downloaded from audible. This is the first book that I had to stop in the first chapter because the narrator is blah. No animation. Monotone. Sadly I could not continue listening to the story. Knowing what a wonderful storyteller Debbie is , I’m sure the book is wonderful.

Need a new narrator

The person who read this store did a good job. The woman character in the story however was really pretty pitifully ridiculous.

Really dumb girl

This woman made me ask what is wrong with you? I yelled hello! open your mouth! That whole marrying her for her money thing was a unfair and very low blow. She married this man who immediately separated himself from her money straight out the gate. He changed his job, sold his condo and moved to where she was and openly welcomed building a family. She made me not like her and I am not sure I am going to finish this book.
How do you find pictures in the TRASH and get mad? In the TRASH......smh.

I didn't know what was wrong with this woman

It could have been a cute 3 hr story but every few minutes she had to keep recounting what had already happened. I find this aggravating & boring. Will avoid this author in the future.

Why do authors feel the need to keep repeating?
