About this listen

Search-and-rescue pilot Kacey Fairing is home on leave in Mercy Falls, Montana, 12 years after she joined the military to escape the mistakes of her past. With a job waiting for her as the new lead pilot of Peak Rescue in Glacier National Park, Kacey hopes to reconnect with the now-teenage daughter she sees only between deployments. What she doesn't realize is that someone else is also back in town.

Ben King has been building his country music career since the day Kacey shut him out of her life. Now all of that's on hold when his injured father calls him home to help run Peak Rescue until he's fully recovered. It doesn't take long, though, to discover his father's ulterior motives as Kacey Fairing walks into the house and back into his heart.

With Mercy Falls in a state of emergency due to flash floods, Kacey and Ben are forced to work together to save lives. But when floodwaters turn personal, can they put aside the past to save their future?

Big Sky Montana, with lots of love

I love most things involving Montana. It shows all the love and visions of the wild mountains and Big Sky Country. The love of God in every Chapter.

Wonderful book

One of the best books I have listened to. There was suspense, mystery, intrigue and of course a beautiful love story.

Very good narration; lots of angst for me

This book is well written and has wonderful characters and wonderful descriptions. The story shows how lives can be torn apart by parents interfering in their child's life and lying. It just has too much angst for me to really enjoy. It has a wonderful message of faith and the ending is happy. The narration is very good!

Started out kind of boring

At first I didn’t think I would like it as it was very petty and teenager level but as it went on it became very interesting with many twists and turns. How some people worry about everything.

Another great book. Really enjoyed it with lots of exciting parts to it.

I wasn’t crazy about the singing in this book. I have read another of this author’s books, and I didn’t like the singing in it either. That didn’t add to the story at all in my opinion. Otherwise the book was great. JS.

Great story of first love , mistakes and second chances..

I loved the developing story of lost love , second chances and new beginnings. I am anxious for the second and third and fourth books in this series. Pretty please let there be more!!!

Interesting storyline.

The frequent singing, in what seemed like several times every chapter, became a little annoying after a while leading to a somewhat negative listening experience from an author I love. Also, there were so many of the main characters confused and conflicted about their feelings that the entire book seemed angst-ridden. I just wanted the book to end so I could get to the “happy ending”.
