His father, a famous mountain man who married an Apache chief’s daughter, died in a hunting accident before Wilder was born. He’s now 18 and a grown man who chooses to leave his tribe and roam the West. His destiny, where ever the Great Spirt lead him in search of adventure and a connection to the man whose name and heritage he bears. His travels take him from New Mexico to the Colorado Rocky Mountains, pitting him against wild animals, dangerous terrain, and bandits.
