Publisher's summary

He's the book. She's the movie.

A bubbly personality and a great job in social media didn’t mean that Willow Lawson had it all. Her love life was distant memory and her social life only work related. The maddening demands of life seemed to get in the way of finding time for herself or her friends.

She starts the Pepper Lane Club as a chance to step away from her busy schedule once a month to reconnect with her friends.

Thomas Greer, the proprietor of the Pepper Lane Café, annoys her. He’s her complete opposite; unsociable, serious, old-fashioned, and dead-set against social media.

Always game for a challenge, Willow decides to take him on as a client. She’s going to prove to Thomas that he needs her help. She knew she would be successful, she just didn’t know she would lose her heart along the way.

Can Willow fall in love with a man that doesn’t respect her profession? Will Thomas let go of his preconceptions long enough to get to know the real Willow? Enjoy this sweet romance as Willow finds love and friendship in the first book in the Pepper Lane series.

Six women. Six stories. Six chances of love. One café.

The Pepper Lane series follows the lives of six women as they share life, love, and heartache once a month at the Pepper Lane Club. They might be an unlikely group of friends, but it takes all types to form a tribe.

So much fun!

Fell in love with The Pepper Lane Club - what a fun group. Willow has her own thoughts and ideas and sticks with them and doesn't mind that they aren't' in line with what everyone else thinks/does. Yes, it's a girly story but not over the top sickeningly girly. I found it well written and kept me entertained all the way through.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Honest review

I normal don’t read or listen to this genre but this was definitely a cute and funny contemporary read. Willow is quite quirky and had me laughing throughout the book. She wasn’t really looking for love after her last relationship but love seemed to find her. And her friendships with her sister and the Pepper lane club ladies was quit interesting and fun. I’d definitely can’t wait to listen to the rest of the stories.

Great Read

Willow (The Pepper Lane Club #1) was a great read by Grace Parks. Willow Lawson is a social media expert who helps companies stand out from their competitors. She starts The Pepper Lane Club to meet once a month and reconnect with her friends. She meets Thomas Greer at their first meeting at the cafe he owns. They are complete opposites in every way but it may just be what makes them great for each other. I really enjoyed Willow and Thomas' story and can't wait to read more by Grace Parks.

I was surprised at this

So I am not a fan of Romance. But this was fun. I liked the story and the idea of a girls wine group. I liked that the girls had issues.
While some of the themes are obvious, I felt a connection with the characters so it didn't seem too bad.
What I didn't like was the fake Italian accent. lol. Almost a deal breaker.
This leaves you wanting for more.
Great job!

Amusing, entertaining romantic comedy

This light-hearted comedy kept me entertained with Willow's antics as she tried to get thru day to day life unscathed - whether that be from a broken heart or from her boss' ire. More fun unfolds as she and her friends create a dinner club: The Pepper Lane Club. Now they have to make sure the cafe stays in business or they won't have a place to meet and will have to rename their group! Love and shenanigans both find Willow along the way and you are swept along with her on a fun ride! Highly recommend!

Chick lit

Fun, easy to listen story of Willow and her friends who start a dinner club at the Pepper Lane Café. We get know the characters through the story, although the romance is somewhat predicable.
The narration was good, but did not enjoy the Italian accents.

Feelgood rom-com

Meet the women of the Pepper Lane Club, started by twins Willow & Riley. Willow works in marketing and decides that creating a club of like minded women is a great idea. Kind of like a book club, but not. They start meeting at the Pepper Lane Cafe once a month and that's where the stories begin. She approaches the owner Thomas to market the cafe, as no one has heard of it, but he's not interested. Can Willow change his mind?

A fun Rom-com type read that will definitely leave you feeling gruntled!

Very girly. If you don’t like fashion, hair and nails, don’t read!

I am the opposite of a girly girl. It’s very hard for me to relate to women who are all into fashion, hair and nails. I find women like this to be very fake with no substance.

As a result, this story wasn’t my cup of tea. It was very “gushy.” I was however, surprised, to find a person with feelings in the character of Willow. But you needed to look deep beneath all the “gush.” Since this is the first of the series and we will get to know some of the other ladies mentioned too, I may be interested in the stories of some of the other characters, as they will come from such different backgrounds. Perhaps I will be able to relate to one of the other lady’s story.
