Publisher's summary

A charming and heartwarming new romantic comedy by the acclaimed author of Waiting for Tom Hanks, Kerry Winfrey.

Teddy Phillips never thought she would still be spending every day surrounded by toys at almost 30 years old. But working at a vintage toy store is pretty much all she has going on in her life after being unceremoniously dumped by her longtime boyfriend. The one joy that she has kept is her not-so-guilty pleasure: Everett’s Place, a local children’s show hosted by Everett St. James, a man whom Teddy finds very soothing...and, okay, cute.

Teddy finds the courage to write to him, feeling slightly like one of the children who write to him on his show. He always gives sound advice and seems like he has everything figured out - and he pretty much does: Everett has a great support system, wonderful friends, and his dream job. But there is still that persistent feeling in the back of his mind that something is missing.

When a woman named Theodora starts writing to Everett, he is drawn to her honesty and vulnerability. They continue writing to each other, all the while living their lives without meeting. When their worlds collide, however, they must both let go of their fears and figure out what they truly want - and if the future they want includes each other.

Critic reviews

"Very Sincerely Yours is such a special, unique love story that made me laugh and warmed my heart. Kerry Winfrey creates the best casts of family and friends in her books, and the hero of this one, Everett St. James, is truly one of a kind - I've never seen anyone like him in romance. And the emails! *So* romantic. A delightful You've Got Mail-esque touch." (Sarah Hogle, author of You Deserve Each Other)

"Kerry Winfrey charms again in the delightful romantic comedy Very Sincerely Yours. With a slow-burn romance full of pitch-perfect prose and brainy banter, it is impossible not to be swept up in the story of Theodora and Everett as they navigate love and life, desperately seeking the way to their happily-ever-after." (Jenn McKinlay, author of Paris Is Always a Good Idea)

“A sweet and fluffy rom-com.... Winfrey lets their love blossom at a believable pace as they overcome emotional and professional obstacles with the help of their convincing sets of friends. With plenty of smile-worthy misadventures along the way, this light, down-to-earth romance is sure to charm.” (Publishers Weekly)

Perfect Romance Novel

After having read numerous disappointing romance books, this one met all my hopes. A story about likable people with likable friends, a relevant plot coupled with kindness and hope.
Fabulous!

Good Story; lose the token profanity

Engaging story had me hooked throughout. Loved the narrator; she nailed the heart of the story.

Was a bit disheartened that the author elected to use a few words of profanity found in the last 1/3 of the story. The author could use alternate language choices and still convey the "bite" of the scenes.

Wonderful story and characters!

I really enjoyed this story! Everett was nice and fun. He really cares about the kids who watched his show, and he was perfect for Teddi. And Teddi was sweet and nice and I could identify with her trying to face her fears. I think she did much better than I could. Everett and Teddii had terrific support systems and family, friends and co-workers. I loved Josie because she reminded me of me.
I am from Ohio (Cincinnati), so I loved the setting.
The narrator was great. This was my first book by Kerry Winfrey and I'm looking forward to reading more!

Won't this book be my neighbor?

Okay, this is the cutest, sweetest, most adorable audiobook I've ever listened to. And when I say listened to, I mean I've killed this thing. Can't count the number of sleepless, boring, migraine-riddled nights it's gotten me through.

The story is so sweet! A HUNKY MISTER ROGERS? YES, PLEASE!! I always loved Fred, and I grew up watching him back in the day. I think he was the smartest, sweetest man and the best human being to base a romantic hero off of.

The narrator (Patti Murin) does an excellent job of reading the book and I love, love, love the scene in the Karake bar.

Buy this book now! It's funny, witty, sweet, and just all-around adorable. You could not pry this audiobook from my cold dead hands. Everything by Kerry Winfrey is excellent (I absolutely LOVED Waiting for Tom Hanks, but this tops them all). Can't wait for her next title, Faking Christmas, coming out later this year, and I love all of her books. Cannot recommend enough!

A warm, playful, good-hearted balm of a story

Loved the narrator, characters, playfulness, warm & good-hearted nature of the writing, perspectives & characters; a balm for someone healing from emotional abuse. In more words: this is a kind escape & warm hang that I dearly appreciate while on the long, intricate road of healing in a world still hurting & on fire itself. Thank you for all the good bundled into this story & production, I'll be exploring your other books next!

& to anyone who resonates with this post, I'm sending you a big hug 💗 Take good care 💗
