About this listen

Once, it was said, Wensha had been a city of witches, summoning and controlling demons for their evil magic. Narrator's accents have improved immensely. you can actually understand what the characters are saying. She still occasionally over enunciates some words.

good story as always

Narration was mechanical and unnatural, with odd phrasing and many mispronunciations. Very unfair to such an excellent writer.

Poor narration

The Sunwolf and Hawk stories are some of my favorites by Barbara Hambly, exceeded only by the Winterland books. But I agree with many of the other reviews written - this is one of the worst narrations I have ever heard. Mechanical, with little inflection in tone or phrase, and with no regard for punctuation. Neither the narrator nor the producer should be allowed to work on audio books again.

Great story; terrible narration.
