About this listen

Wordbuilders: the convenient and entertaining way to build a more powerful vocabulary. Each 60-minute audiobook volume within this series features 40 words used in everyday conversation, or in the media and books, but which many people skip, finding these words difficult or even impossible to define or pronounce accurately. Using highly effective mnemonic devices, captivating dramatized vignettes, and a variety of exercises to aid retention, each Wordbuilders program teaches you how to pronounce, define, and use a new selection of common but hard-to-use words.

The Wordbuilders programs are great for business people, students, public speakers, and word-lovers everywhere. They'll help you build the confidence that comes with real word power, whether in business, in school, or in daily conversation. Each volume stands on its own, but you'll want to collect the other volumes as well. Join the Wordbuilders tradition of enjoyable learning! This audiobook includes volumes one through four of the Worldbuilders series.

I love this, I got this a few years ago... I couldn't get to it sooner because not having the list of words prevented me from learning the words.

But now, I'm galvanized, inspired, I have a notebook and I jot down each word, then check its spelling online (online dictionaries, use ones u trust)... the system of pneumonics are really helpful, I like the readers, it's actually a lot more fun than reading a vocabulary list.

Again, I love it!

Excellent! I jot down each word...

The whole Word Builders Vocabulary set from Vol 1 to 6 is simply the best vocabulary program around. Too bad they stopped producing the series. Nothing else since has ever equaled the Word Builders program. Others have tried, but to no avail. I was lucky to find the series being offered on line over the Internet in digital audio format. Without being overtly outré (one of the word I learned from Word Builders), nothing else compares to this series. You will NOT be disappointed.

Simply the best program around!

If this is your first time reading/ listening to vocabulary book, this is a wonderful start. If not, you'll likely have come across many of words on this book. Even so, I believe you'll find a list of words that are unique to this book. It'll definitely contribute to the improvement of your vocabulary.

Wish there was a modern version and/or a PDF of the words because It sounds a little unclear like they made It in the 70s, overall loved It though
