About this listen

Craig Stewart is one of America's most gifted writers. His work debuted on stage in Atlanta with A Day in the Life, wowing sold out audiences and critics alike. Stewart's highly anticipated memoir, Words Never Spoken, was released in 2012.

Praised as one of Stewart's most revealing and personal works yet, Words Never Spoken details his journey as a songwriter, entrepreneur, and playwright, and his self-discovery as a gay Black man living in Atlanta. Stewart writes candidly about his private conversations with media mogul Tyler Perry, and why Perry dubbed Stewart's work brilliant, but opted not to help him.

Stewart also pulls us through the rise and fall of his musical relationship with Grammy award-winning recording artist Brandy Norwood. Stewart's story is as clean and crisp as the early works of the late E. Lynn Harris, but destined for a lane of its own because of its nuanced richness.

Words Never Spoken reads like a diary that was never intended for the eyes of anyone other than its author. Stewart opens up about his struggles with love, friendships, and a two-year bout with depression that led to an Internet sex addiction.

Wanted more of story, which it ended better. I despise Nina just by you speaking on her.

The transparency, of standing in your truth & reality. Wanting to find real love.

I was first introduced to Craig via TS Madison on her YouTube show. I recently had the pleasure to finally meet him in person last month in Atlanta and he is very sweet but I digress..

I enjoyed this book thoroughly and it had some great advice, laughable moments and I loved the perspective from a gay man as I am a straight woman. He challenges you to think logically and he doesn't sugarcoat anything. I appreciate his authenticity while still trying to be of service to others.

If you're a fan of his definitely check out this book and I will be sure to add his other books to my library.

This book captivated me from beginning to end. I would listen to it on my commute to and from work. It's so good that I'd find myself sitting in the car listening to it once I got home from work. You can tell that the author is a GRIOT. His narration of his work is impeccable. I'm a huge E. Lynn Harris fan and this work is right up that with E. Lynn's work, in my opinion. ❤❤❤

A MUST READ!!!
