About this listen
I’m stuck sharing a house with my hot new boss…
And I just walked in on him in the shower.
Landing a major interior design contract for the new winery in Dogwood Cove is supposed to be my fresh start. But sharing a house with the annoyingly sexy winemaker Finn McNeil? That wasn’t part of the plan… To make it worse, Finn’s made it very clear he doesn’t want me around - at work, or anywhere else.
I’m determined to win him over with my charm and professionalism. Not only do I need this job, but this town has become more than a place to earn a living, it’s become home.
Which is why giving into the undeniable attraction we feel could spell disaster for both of us.

Grumpy/sunshine with some miscommunication
Finn doesn't want to mix business and pleasure, but when Ashley shows up to redesign the tasting room at his new winery, he has a hard time keeping the two separate. When they end up temporarily living in close quarters, lines get even more blurred. Ashley has her own reasons for being hesitant about relationships, but she's more open to the possibility than he is, even when he's grouchy and surly with her.
I'm not sure about the advice her friends gave her that 'he's nice to everyone except you, so that must mean he likes you', even if it turns out to be true in this case! But Finn could be very sweet when he got his head out of his a$$ and I see why Ashley falls for him. The lack of communication comes back to bite them, as you know it will, but everything ends happily.
Overall, a low-angst, sweet story with great dual narration from Heather Firth and Neill Thorne.

Aww the audiobook makes everything better
Such a sweet perfectly romantic story! Finn and Ashley are so perfect together!!! Finn with his scowly attitude and Ashley with her boho-chic vibe are the perfect combination. The force proximity makes them notice all they can have if they follow their feelings. And their HEA was amazing. I loved it 🥰
The narrators performance was on point. Love their voices for these characters.
