Publisher's summary

"I can't come out because I can't let them down. But I never dreamed that he would make me feel alive again, either."

Caleb Barker is trying. But it's difficult being a widowed single dad. Keeping up with three kids, the house, and his sales job doesn't leave him much time to sleep, let alone even think about moving forward romantically. Right now, his sole focus needs to be creating a stable home for his kids, and to do that, he needs to get a promotion - and to get a promotion, he's finally ready to admit that he needs some help.

"I know I should be careful. He's my boss. But it's so easy to forget that when he touches me."

Ethan Collier is ready to escape the city - and more importantly, his string of loser ex-boyfriends. It's time to get his life back on track, and to do that, he needs a job. Getting the position as Caleb's manny should help Ethan gain enough stability to go back to school. He just never accounted for the children's dad being a DILF.

Welcome to Worthington, Texas, where the heat doesn't just rise in the summer - you'll feel it all year long in these stories of older men and their younger lovers. Every audiobook in the Worth It series can be listened to on its own, but with so many familiar characters to love, why stop with just one? This audiobook features a little hurt with a lot of comfort, the courage to come out of your comfort zones, and a teenager who really does have all the answers.

Worth Trying is Worth Listening

I absolutely loved this audiobook. Caleb is a gorgeous and devoted father of three kids. His wife died a couple years before and he is trying to work and keep up with the kids and the home. All of those things are suffering. Caleb is hoping for a promotion but with the kids pulling him from work so much he feels like he needs help. It's time for a nanny/manny to help.
Ethan is back in town after running away from his awful boyfriend while he was at work. He just grabs his clothes and what few things he can fit into his junker car and runs. He moved back to his home town and to his best friend from growing up named Finn. Finn tells him about the nanny job and Ethan calls for an interview. Ethan can get over how hot the dad/boss is and the kids are great. He gets the job on a probationary basis and then later on for good.
The attraction between Caleb and Ethan is constantly pulling at them and they are fantasizing about each other. When the kids are gone for the weekend things go too far and they finally make it to the bedroom. What do we do now. The kids can't know about this. Listen to this book. You'll love it as much as I did.

Worth Trying

Another good read. This audio was easy to listen to with a nice story line. With the three kids, it would be easy to continue this story.

Great May/December romance

I loved this story a lot! Caleb and Ethan couldn't walk away from each other. Caleb's children were a lovely addition to the overall story.

Each child was beautifully described throughout the story and Caleb's daughter gave her Dad an important viewpoint when he wasn't sure what to do!

If you love romance, families, and HEA's then read/listen to this book!

Loved this sweet manny story!

This is such a great story. First it starts with a common problem. How does a single parent hold down a good job while trying to raise and be there for his/her kid? Then multiply the kid by three and - wow - that's a full time job in itself! Enter the manny to help manage the home front, and - yeah - things start to sizzle. The concept was realistic, the characters were endearing, and the concerns and fears and doubts that Caleb and Ethan had were real and genuine. The struggle of a single parent between making sure the kids are happy and finding his/her own happiness is surely one of the hardest. Peter Styles has written another great love story with heart and characters you can't help but cheer for.

I absolutely loved the narration, and especially Caleb's accent! The narrator really made the story come alive for me.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request from the author. This is my hoest, voluntary review.

man up caleb!

I was so frustrated with Caleb. Ge was so busy looking ahead, that he couldn't see what was right in front of him! Smh. Caleb seemed kind of weak at times and a drama queen in and out of his head. Ethan seemed more mature than Caleb. The dragonfly story was a tear jerker. I enjoyed the southern accent of the narrator.

Warms the heart

Caleb and Ethan were two people meant to be together. Both men have gone through tough times. After the loss of his wife, Caleb struggles to raise his children alone and do well at his job. Ethan is escaping a bad relationship and looking to reboot his life. He needs a fresh start and a job to do that. Caleb hires Ethan to be his nanny. Ethan fits in quickly and loves the kids. The problem is he’s learning to love Caleb too. The men struggle with respecting their boundaries and keeping everyone ‘s needs in mind. Friends and family try to help, but ultimately it is up to Caleb and Ethan. Come to Worthington and see how they work it out. The narrator added so much to the story. Peter has once again done a great job. Listen to this book and get your friends to as well.

Great book!

Read this book months ago and loved it. Decided to listen to audio. Sweet, loving story line. Relatable characters. Steamy love scenes. Narrator was good until it came to character Caleb's voice. He changed his accent (maybe to sound more "Texan"?). Ended sounding fake, over exaggerated , and, quite frankly, just goofy. The rest of the narration was ok, just not this character's parts. If I had not read the printed version first I am not sure my overall love of the book would have been the same. I highly recommend the print version.

Loved it, romantic, sweet, and engaging

This was such a sweet and fun read with developed characters (Manny/Widow). Caleb is unsure and is a very focused individual, and Ethan is a romantic with so much excitement. I enjoyed following their journey, and how necessity and tragedy brought them to cross paths. The narration was very well done.
